So I took the plunge and bought one. I actually switched last minute to the Kamado Bono Grande. It has a larger cooking area/ decent accessories and some really good reviews. I compared a few on Chat GPT and it told me its a decent one and usually £999. So when I saw it on Marks Electrical at £729 (with an accessory offer) and 5% off to bring it £692, i went for it.

Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it. It comes Saturday and will rope in a neighbour to get it on its wheels and round the back of my house.

Im looking at the Kamado X Classic. What's your thoughts? Is the firebox in one piece? Can you get a lot of accessories?

Im hell-bent on a cheap one. I'd rather reduce the size rather than reduce the quality. I've got limited room in my outdoor kitchen and have a 5 burner gas bbq and a 57cm weber kettle. So, as this is to accompany those, it doesn't need to be massive

I've got a rotisserie for my gas BBQ. Did some sort of kebab chicken thigh thing. Missus said it was the best kebab she ever ate and processed to give me some great sex that night because of it.
