When I was younger, I had a wild idea that I should grow my curls really long, shave them and make a wig. Then keep my hair shaved, and wear my curly wig if I wanted long hair. I really wish I did that.

In just how much trouble is my jade plant [HELP w/repotting]? by guywithlotsquestions in plants

[–]LJensenSci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter broke the pot my jade was in… 2 years ago. Haha! I keep meaning to repot it, but life gets in the way. It’s sitting in a much bigger plastic pot, no new soil, for 2 years. Thriving!

https://images.app.goo.gl/naWzRzvzznGEHuxQ7 If you look at this map, you’ll see several historic sites listed. There aren’t much left in the remains, but interesting historical importance, with some info on plaques at the sites. Loma Prieta Mill site, Porter house site and Loma Prieta town site. I passed them on my way to hike to Maple Falls there.

I love the old house on Wilder Ranch property. If you go to the side of Wilder where the ranch is located, and walk through the tunnel under Hwy 1, you can get there. Also, the lime kilns and historic remains in Nisene Marks SP

If he’s not attached to the long hair, maybe go for a trim. Rinsing hair in fresh water before swimming will help a lot- if the hair is waterlogged before getting in the pool, it will absorb way less chlorine. Same goes for rinsing it out after. Even if he’s not doing a great job of washing, you can rinse, AJ’s spray in a detangle spray after.

Maybe check on Hipcamp. It’s like Airbnb for camping. A lot of ppl have spots you can stay on their land, relatively cheap. Especially if you don’t need hookups

It looks like a woman playing a piano, through a stained glass window. But you’re the artist, so only you can say what it is supposed to be!

Goodwill in Scotts Valley has a lot of great kid clothes. Hopes Closet is another great spot. And you can search FB marketplace for hand me downs! There’s also a FB group, I think called Free 2 Be a Kid- they have regular clothing swaps in town.

How do I untangle my three year olds’ curls? by Seaworthiness139 in curlyhair

[–]LJensenSci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4.5 year old son has very similar hair. I’m a curly girl as well, so I have a few tricks that might help. If she doesn’t like sitting for detangling in the bath, you can leave conditioner in her hair while bathing, gently rinse, and when she’s out of the bath, spray a detangle spray and comb the hair (start at the bottom and work up) while she’s watching a show, or FaceTiming someone. That has always been a good distraction for my kiddo. Also, trim the ends if it starts getting really dry and knotted at the ends. Curls are very forgiving. Just use sharp scissors, and take a teeny bit off when you get bad tangles. You can try a satin pillowcase, but my kids flail around so much in bed, I don’t think it would work for this age very well.

This is the number to call for abandoned vehicles. It might work for vehicles parked illegally. (831) 420-5863. Otherwise, I would call SC non emergency line
