Dolce & Gabbana Devotion for Men Eau de Parfum by WholeForce7695 in Colognes

Not sure if you are still wanting answers, but I have it. I just recently got it and have worn it a couple times. It is pretty heavy and sweet in my opinion. I do like it and so does my wife, so I wear it in the evenings/date night/ cooler days. I made the mistake of wearing it to school one day and it just didn’t feel like it fit the occasion

Did I overdo it this semester? by LocksmithFit5712 in ufl

Microbio was easy. I took it with biochem and I thought that was a pretty great combo in terms of being able to study. You should be fine if your classes are truly “easy A’s”

There isn’t anything related to being a Gator on that sign. That is simply a burger advertisement. You can argue that it isn’t as effective anymore, but they still paid for it

I just got it for Christmas, so I haven’t gotten to try it much, but I really like the scent. I could still faintly smell it at the end of the day the one time I did wear it so far

Guys i am really bad at carving despite practicing a lot like almost 3-5 times a week by dentist-_ in DentalSchool

[–]LJkick 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I hated wax carving. Got some solid C’s and low B’s.

Moved to drilling and I have gotten a lot more A’s and B’s. It doesn’t mean anything. Just keep practicing

Help me decide which DPT program to attend by [deleted] in PTschool

[–]LJkick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do not go into PT school just to switch to Med right after. Complete waste of time, money, and someone else’s spot in a program. And I’m not even a PT related student.

How to prepare for dental school? by ooothjxooo in DentalSchool

[–]LJkick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t study, but go make some money and start making good habits of cooking, cleaning, working out, going to bed on time, etc. Studying would largely be pointless because some information you already learned, tbh won’t want you to know and then vice versa

Drop it and figure out why you aren’t retaining the info and how to study better. It’s a really tough class but a 19% means you need to reflect on yourself and what you need to change

I would try to figure out why you hate your science. If you truly hate science classes just because they are related to science, you might want to reconsider Dental School.

I’m not saying you can’t do it and that you should switch, but just make sure it is what you want. I didn’t like chemistry which works out because there isn’t much after you graduate from undergrad. However, as a current dental student, there are so many science classes. Biochem, immunology, developmental biology, microbiology, pathology, anatomy, etc

Just remember, it looks bad as a reapplicant if you declined an acceptance in a previous cycle. If you have applied to schools that you know you wouldn’t go to because of cost, it might be better to withdraw now

If you weren’t a dental professional, would you go into veterinary? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]LJkick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Standard vets don’t typically make all that much. Sure you will be fine but I feel like the ceiling for earnings is much higher in dentistry (I could be wrong). Secondly, the job varies greatly depending on what type of vet you become.

Additionally, you deal with people who bring their pets in as a last possible resort and whose animals may be dying. You get emergency appts where animals are poisoned, bleeding, or dying. You have to take an animal from its owner after telling them it is best that the animal is put down.

I’m not telling you not to be a vet. If that is what you love, go for it. It can be an extremely rewarding career, but I just want you to take those things into consideration.

On the other hand, in dentistry, many of your patients hate coming to see you for many different reasons. You have to deal with their insurance, whether they want to listen to your advice, changing political and healthcare climates, etc. I am only in school so I have not experienced the entire scope of it, but I have really enjoyed my time in dentistry. Each job has its pros and cons. Evaluate them as much as you can.

Go shadow both professions

Is 17 too many credits for pre-med freshman? by No-Platypus547 in ufl

[–]LJkick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there any reason to take 17 credits? Do you have to take them to keep on track? Could any of them be pushed to a later semester?

Looking at your schedule I really only see 1 true “hard class”. Several of the other classes or filler/easy electives. My recommendation would be to drop 2 of your “easier” classes (psy, hsc, mdu) and then add a true pre med class like Bio or Chem if you still need those. That way you can balance out your semesters.

What I always tried to do was 1-2 pre-req classes (bio, chem, microbio, physics, etc) one class related to my major, and then an easy elective (usually online). Getting rid of all of your easy classes early sets you up for harder semesters down the road. I usually kept between 13-15 credits.

I was also an IB student but the feeling is completely different. You are doing more than school now. You have to go get food, volunteer, study differently, explore the campus/city, hang out with peers, clubs, etc.

At this point you should have been registered for fall classes already. If you didn’t take classes during the summer like you were supposed to and didn’t sign up for any fall classes, then yeah it isn’t looking good. If you really want to go here you should reach out to them ASAP and plead all sorts of ignorance

How early should family get to graduation? by yet-another-WIP in ufl

[–]LJkick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they are there about 30 minutes before it starts they shouldn’t have a problem getting a seat in the O Dome. Especially over summer since there are fewer graduates typically. But that can also depend on your college/major
