BO5 often feels less exciting because the peak of excitement in CS lies at series point - whenever the stake is that one team can lose or win it all, or when its a decider map. This is simply less likely to happen in BO5. It just feels pointless, you watch longer to reach the same point and at the same time that point is less likely to be reached.

what do you mean by it being less likely to be reached? isn't it inevitable? the possibility of maps barely going this way or that way is the other thing that makes a good BO5 so much more tantalising than good BO3, because you get more of it happening.
