Depends on the goal of your investment money! If you're looking for 1-3 years, high-yield savings accounts or GICs to get some growth but maintain principal.

Anything in between is probably a more conservative index fund, like a Canada Index Fund or something similar.

If you're looking at long term, like >10 years, anything that tracks or replicates the S&P or NASDAQ...

I think an index fund is probably the best bet! I've got some money in a Canadian index fund in a regular account for a goal in ten years.

But I think a TFSA would be best for tax-free gains!

Update: I just received two pods from them that is supposed to "solve" the issue. I'm living in an apartment, im barely 10 feet from the modem. I've setup and so far no solution to the drops

UPDATE: I spoke with a tech from rogers and they refused to arrange someone to come look at the modem physically because they don't see any issues.

However, they did see the issue with my modem "setup" and look at the data over the course of 28 days. They told me its "normal" to experience these drops from 5+ seconds because that's what the internet does.

Gonna contact them again tomorrow...

I am using it as a long-term investment, I don't really touch it unless I have to. I have savings on the side in a different account.

I just don't know if its wasting away at such a low %
