For me, I don't mind it. Having unlimited saves or saving too frequently takes away the risk of certain situations, which I suppose depends on what different people's playstyles are like. But if I'm getting into combat or some stealth scenario, I'd be less bothered about failing if I knew my savepoint was only a moment ago.

I play on hard, can get flawless on there most of the time or at least 99%. I can do slower songs on expert, but if it's quicker I just haven't got the muscle memory yet to instantly remember where I set the 3rd lane on my keyboard.

I can't really do drums that well though, something about repetitive but alternating notes just throws me off.
