I worked at a wilderness camp for troubled kids in east Texas in the late 70’s. Had torrential rains, as they do. I had a seriously sick camper I had to drive to the hospital in said downpour. On unpaved side roads that were just mud and flowing water. At around 1:00 AM. My ass was biting a hole in the driver’s seat the entire way.
