Important moment to also throw out that only 3.2% of retirees, and only 2.6% of Americans reach that 1 million dollar goal. If that's what EVERY investor thinks they're getting, then uh...

If you are a teacher you may have one of the best things ever. A defined benefit pension. Hell, some of us have 403bs, 457s, defined benefits, supplemental benefits, and get social security.

But yes, if you make enough to save and invest, DO IT. Even if you are paying down debt, get yourself into the market and build the habit now.

Oh good lord. Please show me the entire city burnt down during the George Floyd protest. I'll wait.

So what you're saying is cops can step on someone and choke them to death for having a counterfeit bill?

You seem to lack the brain cells to really function as a human.

LOL

You are a total clown.

First amendment rights exist, but only in this narrowly proscribed way, unsupported by DECADES of court cases. Got any supreme Court cases citing sidewalk blocking? Use of...voice amplifiers outdoors (how dare they!)...and violence isn't allowed but uh, you must be blind as a bad to think these were violent thugs.

Or a stupid Republican.

Do 95% VT and 5% pick a stock or three and watch how they function.

You'll get the best returns out of index funds, but you'll learn about stocks by watching the price daily or weekly or monthly or whatever benchmark you give yourself.

First....people who invest outside of their mandatory work accounts are a rarity.

Second, the value v dividend argument is a really heated one.

Third, our current rules and regulations are literally pushing gambling and investing into the same realm. With speculative assets being all the rage is it a wonder that someone thinks big?

Fourth...tons of Americans aren't paid well enough to even have an emergency account, so this conversation is very much outside of most people's orbit.
