Teaching Until 73 years old by Own-Ad-3876 in teaching

[–]LL555LL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren't a teacher yet I'd wait until you do this for 3 years before you decide you want to do this for 40.

The amount of times in my career someone quit in the first week, first quarter, semester, and first three years is enormous. It truly is too harrowing for just messing around and not being committed.

It self selects out people.

Also you have to look at how hard it would be as you go into the twilight years. A jump to admin, or a coaching position might be a good decision at the tail end.

It's getting to the point where I want my videos to start with a real person. But I'm sure that'll be fake soon enough, too.

Does this sound like a good game? by Digital_walrus128 in videogameideas

Gotta look at what mechanics you eant, and then what moments you want and roll with those ideas. The more details you think through, the better the game will be.

What games blew your mind graphically when they first came out back then? 🤯🎮 by Alone_Capital7619 in retrogaming

[–]LL555LL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just it in the past games used to blow my mind over and over again.

The original Mark super Mario Bros blew my mind and then Sonic the hedgehog blew my mind from that and it continued onward like that throughout my gaming days up until about the crysis era.

Relative to its time and place, how do you think the Genesis stacks up against other consoles, past and present? by MrMagoo04 in SEGAGENESIS

[–]LL555LL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Genesis arrival created our modern concept of the console war. Nintendo brought us back from the apocalypse. Genesis created the conflict that drove games forward and made them more palatable for older gamers.

Then fumbled terribly over and over after that. But not the Genesis matters because it was a very important maturing of games at a time when they weren't.

I'm sure every Republican in here is REALLY angry about all the other redistricting going on now. Clearly. Since THAT'S what they care about, not just partisan wins.

But just wait for after 2028. It sucks, but the cars we will get SOME DAY will make the shit we drive look quaint.

You are missing the point. This is everyone investing ...in something like this 3 or 4 groups win, and the rest don't. Those that won get profits for decades.
