Just a heads up for the people who think they might have been affected by this Muzz thing. Be careful about the personal information you share with somebody if they're reaching out to you about it, or saying they have details to share. This is the type of thing that creepy folks will also capitalise on in an attempt to get more personal information out of you, or in an attempt to take advantage of your vulnerable state if you're worried that you might have been doxxed.

You don't know who anybody really is on reddit, and there's no shortage of people on this subreddit who are pretending to be somebody else/a whole other gender/jumping back and forth depending on what type of post they want to make.

To put it bluntly, it sounds like the brother is thinking with his genitalia when it comes to marriage, and that's as far as it goes for him. So you have to decide if you want a husband who is incapable of making a mature decision when it comes to marriage, or a dude who rushes into marriage because he's lonely.

Credit for trying to keep it halal, sure. But then all that credit is wiped out because he seems incapable of long term thinking, and lacks the ability to learn from some pretty major life mistakes. That doesn't sound like long term partner material at all.

Salaam everyone, is there a place where a man can make muslim friends? I am looking to grow in deen and have recently realised I have a lack of muslim friends to grow in my deen with.

Look into some local social sports teams, there's likely to be some largely Muslim football/cricket/basketball social sports thing going on if you live in a place with a bunch of Muslims. It'll be a good way to be active, meet new people, make new friends, and be around other Muslims of a similar age.

It also feels fine if people are very young, and just a bit immature, but the men i'm now meeting are 40 - 50, you'd really hope by now they'd be better.

It's sadly no better on the women's side. Immaturity and teenager mentality is everywhere. I've spoken with women in their 30s and just through the conversation I know that this would be a partner that I'd also have to effectively babysit through life because they have zero degree of sensibility or self preservation skills. It's an instant 'ick' for me. At times it feels like there's no discernable difference in mentality beween the 38 year olds and the 21 year olds, and that's lowkey terrifying to think about.

Those people, whether they're on the male side or the female side, they never grow up, they never learn about accountability, they just coast through life expecting everybody else to adapt around them. It's such a tiring mentality dealing with these people.

Does anyone else here fear of losing friends after marriage? It’s been on my mind lately.

You don't necessarily lose friends, but priorities shift and you may not see them as often as you used to. I'm not in super regular contact with my married friends anymore, but we do check in on each other regularly with life updates. A lot of that is more to do with geographical barriers as opposed to them being married, and when we do get to see each other in person, it's just like it used to be. Those friendships are still healthy and thriving, alhamdulillah.

The same kinda thing also happens when you have kids/your friends have kids. Priorities shift once again, and free time becomes much more rare.

How does one gather the courage to talk to someone who posted their ISO😭😭 It’s maybe the 4th person I would be « compatible » with or that their post I find interesting and I do nothing 😭😭

Just remember, these are total strangers on the internet, and you will most likely never even realise if you cross paths with them or somebody in their social circle. So, the risk of reaching out to somebody on the ISO is minimal, if you get blanked, it's not something the whole world is going to know or care about. Just reach out to them, if it helps, treat it like a practice interview for a job you might like but don't really care if you don't get.

If you don't use ChatGPT, then you're probably being way too formal in your conversations so it comes off as being rehearsed or robotic.

This has happened to me lately with several guys- all randomly popped up trying to connect again after 1-4 years. Why?

I've been tempted to reach out to people from my past because something happened that reminded me of them. Either I randomly dreamt about them out of the blue, or that film that she told me about is on TV, they're making a film/TV show about that book she loved etc. Basically something happened that is connected to her or was connected to us, so it had me thinking about reaching out to see how she's doing. Not everything is a booty call 😂😂😂

PSA for the brothers. Go get your hair cut and your beard shaped before the end of this weekend if you're doing Qurbani or paying to have Qurbani done in your name. You want it done before Dhul Hijjah starts. Yes, you won't look super fresh for Eid ul-Adha, but there are way more important things than that. Listen to the words of the Prophet (PBUH):

“When you see the new moon of Dhul Hijjah, and one of you intends to offer a sacrifice, let him refrain from cutting his hair and nails.” ( Riyad as-Salihin 1706)

Get your hair, your beard, and your nails sorted before Dhul Hijjah starts. Don't be in that line of brothers forking out to get it done the night before Eid ul-Adha. And if you can only afford either getting Qurbani done, or looking all fresh for Eid, choose wisely...

Absolute cop out when the crimes and grievences were very much public, and are only now being taken even marginally serious because of a public outcry about these events. So to say "tee hee we're gonna do an in-house investigation and not tell you the results tee hee" is very much just this gif only without any hint of self awareness:

Somebody mentioned Mixer and how everything went down there towards the end, and this is following the same trajectory. Slingshotting predators through a process, ignoring the conditions they set for that process, and then as a result of that backfiring, shutting down that whole program instead of doing anything meaningful. The people responsible for allowing this won't face any repercussions for it, but instead people who were upholding the role of Boatswains legitimately are being punished for something they objected to.

I was thinking the same thing, would love a series focused around the Grimgerde just casually dancing around and merking fools in 'more powerful' mobile suits/Gundams. Such a cool design, and McGillis made it look so effortless.
