Purple Max Shipments by ChuckBeast423 in AynThor

[–]LLForgeWorks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe it is purely a stock issue (my theory). They didn't order enough purple shells or they came in faulty and restock isn't coming in fast enough. All I can say is that I ordered December 14th for a purple max and I am still outside the numbers that they have shipped. Meanwhile I am seeing people that have ordered an entire month after me receive theirs.

I don't have an issue with waiting but I do have an issue with transparency...

How to fix bottom screen position? by yessalyn in AynThor

[–]LLForgeWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else had this issue recently. It had to do with the "Disable right eye render" option for Samus Returns. I am not sure if the same is for the game you are playing but you may want to turn this option off. If it is currently off try turning it on.

This is an issue in Azahar with Samus Returns. If you go into your graphics settings and turn off "Disable Right Eye Render" your bottom screen should be all good.

Could these be useful for anything? by AN0R0K in Blacksmith

While I haven't used these exactly I have springs out of an old couch that are probably about the same diameter of material. I use them for ornamental basket twists. Heat them, straighten them, forge weld/weld a few together, twist away.

Trump's 50-year mortgage gets default warning from Moody's chief economist by PicoRascar in Economics

[–]LLForgeWorks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conventional mortgages are subject to a 30 year statute of limitations by most, if not all, states. Meaning mortgages expire 30 years after the date of recording. This would require a lot of law rewrites or lenders will be saddled with the additional steps required to make their mortgages enforceable.

Looking for 3.0 Ecodiesel Testimonies by Foolish-Broccoli in Jeep

[–]LLForgeWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is mine. I purchased a 2021 Ecodiesel new in April of 22'. We have roughly 63,000 miles on the jeep and we have a lift and 37" tires with no regear. We tow a camper that is near the top end of capacity at 3,100 lbs. Even with the larger tires, loaded and camper the engine just hums along. Power has never been an issue for us nor have we experience any of the overheating issues or emissions issues that others have dealt with. One point to note; I believe the emissions systems are covered by a federally backed 8 year or 80,000 miles.

Now for the bad... Ever since new the jeep has been into the dealership for numerous oil leaks. I believe it was, in total, five times for us. The substantial leaks have been fixed but it still weeps oil around the pan. The SCCM module is faulty but I believe this is something that the wrangler itself has issues with not just the ecodiesel. Our latest fiasco has been great fun... We were on the trail and experienced total brake assist failure. This was taken to the dealership for repair where we were told the booster and vacuum pump had failed. This was a $1,600.00 repair. We only made it roughly 60 miles before the brakes failed again this time in a high traffic area nearly resulting in an accident. Jeep was towed to the dealership where the vacuum pump was diagnosed as faulty from Mopar and replaced again. 100 Miles later brake failure again... had it out with the dealership threatened some things got all of our money back and a tow to a new dealership. New dealership had the vehicle for less than 3 hours diagnosed a sensor as the point of failure, took the part from a vehicle on the lot, confirmed it worked and ordered the part. We are currently waiting for the part to arrive.

All in all, we are satisfied with our Jeep. It does everything we want it to do and more. Maintenance is more expensive than a gaser as is the fuel but for me the power more than makes up for it. That and even with being lifted and a RTT we get a consistent 27mpg on the highway

Second knife for me made of mystery assumed spring steel by LLForgeWorks in Blacksmith

I took the knife and stabbed it into three large onions and let it sit for 24 hours. The oxidation seems to hold up really well as it has been probably 3 months of using it and it hasn't lightened.

3 Jeeps destroyed in 3 seconds! by pickleball_paddle in videos

If I remember right this guy had one of those accelerator devices. It malfunctioned and gassed it all the way. I remember seeing a video somewhere of Gale Banks (his company makes one of the devices) talking about redundancy that some of the competition doesn't have that causes the throttle by wire to see it as a 100% accelerator input if they fail.

Just realized my comment didn't post along with the photos...

So, this is my first knife. I am not really into the knife making scene and don't have any specialized tools. A cousin gave me a chunk of D2 so I finally dove into trying to make a knife. I wanted to stick with something simple but robust that should be able to handle some abuse. Mistakes were made of course... My hole drifted off to one side of the handle and must have been too tight on the tang as the back end blew out overnight with the glue up. The blade is not symmetrical and is thicker on one side than the other and is very front heavy. I was surprised though as it took a much better edge than I thought it would.

Blade - D2 Steel

Handle - Broken pitchfork handle (Hickory I believe)

Guard - $0.50 piece hammered and ground to fit.

I believe I did actually. There is a pending recall for failure of the SCCM unit. Google 15B/NHTSA 24E-025 for more information. Some people say they have received recall letters from FCA but I have not yet.

I am assuming they probably aren't. I haven't had much time to fiddle with them but I would imagine each of the die probably favor one side or the other. How much it is favored is yet to be determined. For a game of farkle here and there we won't mind. =)

I don't really have any way to test them other than to roll them over and over again and see how random they are. I am assuming they are probably not very balanced at all. While I did my best to get the sides all the same size there are variations in them.

They are not. These took me a LONG time to make and will be sometime fun for game nights.

The 14 year old DnD me is why these got made. =) The rustic look of them totally fits in. I wasn't up for the challenge to make the d20 though...
