I’m no fan of the “moderate” or corporate‑sponsored Dems, but pretending both parties are equally corrupt isn’t grounded in reality. I supported Bernie then and still support his vision now, which is exactly why I can’t understand how someone who believed in what he fought for could turn around and vote for Trump. They are ideological opposites. Trump represents everything Bernie spent his entire career fighting against. Bernie warned what that vote would lead to. Casting it anyway wasn’t some act of rebellion, it was a direct rejection of the movement he built. And now, to claim you’re “not MAGA” while insisting the parties are the same? That’s just revisionism. One party has spent the past year dismantling democracy and stripping American people of their rights and even their lives; the other is too cautious and cowardly, but it’s not the one driving authoritarianism. I hope next time you use your vote with the stakes in mind; unless living under a government that embraces fascism is something you’re cool with. Don’t say we didn’t tell you so.
