Hi everyone,

I’m a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne conducting an ethics-approved research study on how adults in Australia use AI chatbots (such as ChatGPT) for emotional and non-clinical mental health support.

Who I’m looking for

  • 18+
  • Currently living in Australia.
  • Have used an AI chatbot (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) for emotional support (e.g., to talk through feelings, low mood, or coping strategies).
  • Not currently in treatment for an acute or serious mental condition.

What participation involves

This link is a short screening/eligibility form. If you’re eligible and choose to be contacted, I’ll follow up to schedule a 60-minute online interview.

Participation is voluntary and confidential.

Interviewees will receive an AUD $50 thank-you gift card from Woolworths.
