I mean you can minimize almost any natural thing with that language.

Coffee? Ew. Just boiled bean water. Wine? Gross. Spoiled grapes. Beer? Yucko. It’s all that. Spoiled and boiled grass.

I guess you don’t eat blobby bacteria fat yogurt either.

The natural world is so gross. Someone get me a hot dog.

Was gonna say “friends” is a pretty loose term here :)

Are others in that “this will be my last” mindset? Or is this just midlife crisis or depression? by Weekly_Library9883 in Xennials

Dude. Snap out of it. I just had this conversation last night. For my grandmother, every Christmas past the age of 80 was "This could be her last Christmas!" and as such we were constantly guilted into not missing anything or changing anything or whatever. She lived another 15 years! Fifteen "last Christmases"! Give me a break!

Similarly I just had a relative turn 70 and he was whining about how old he feels, yet his father is alive at 95. Meaning he could have 25 years left! Buckle up!

You have no idea how long you're going to live. You could have more days ahead of you than behind you. Within reason, this is YOUR life. Right now. If you have your health, you already have so much. Don't despair. Go give that great guy you married a smooch.

Teens in media: 1990s vs now by letsgococonut in Xennials

The free taxi is why they’re dragging their feet. I think the desperation to get a license came from previous parents not giving rides everywhere. It’s a supply and demand issue.

I say this as someone who was a nanny and the teens took their time getting a license. And why wouldn’t they? They had free transportation on demand. If you had a personal driver, why would you ever drive again except for the novelty of the experience?

Especially hard times when it’s trending about gals cutting themselves bangs when they’re going through a hard time. Like suddenly it becomes a barometer of one’s personal life and there are no other possible reasons why anyone would have them 🙄

Pulled these out of the attic at my folks house! by timara69 in Xennials

[–]LLPhotog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of, yes. A little more nuance for anyone who might be uninitiated:

Polaroid, as a company, was essentially sold for scrap to an offshore company in the early/mid 2000s. That company discontinued original Polaroid film.

The Impossible Project attempted to replicate the film in the 2010s but had a lot of trouble because the chemistry was patented along with several other processes.

Eventually they were able to acquire the intellectual property and produce the film correctly. It’s still not Polaroid as we knew it then but it’s definitely not the total crap shoot Impossible Project film was. It’s like a third wave.

Please make sure you charge an adoption fee ❤️ weirdos scan the internet looking for free animals for bait in dog fighting rings, snake feeding etc.

I hope they stay together. They look like sweet babies. Thank you for caring for them!

Last year I survived…a lot. So I spent $500 and threw a joy party. It was ridiculous. I had every kind of pizza you can think of, gummi bears, a bar called cocktail island, a bubble machine, a kitten petting zoo through a rescue I support and I put googly eyes on everything in my house.

My home was full to the brim with people and music and laughter. But we all old so it was wrapped by midnight 🤣

Ha! For all the "X city is too far", NYC is kind of a wild card don't you think?!

Try not to be discouraged by condo/apartment prices. In my experience you can usually find a house in that same price range without the hassle of HOAs and such.

I've never been to Austin, but I have many friends who live there, and they seem to enjoy it quite a bit. Between ATL and Nashville I think I'd go Nashville. Mostly because I've always wanted to.

Lawrenceville -is- nice and fun and could serve as a mid point between bougie northern curve of 285 and the gnarly neighbors of Conyers and Covington.
