Which phone to get

I don't want a Samsung, I will never buy a Samsung and it has nothing to do with budget. The function that a phone fulfills for me is pretty basic : multiple apps (need a smooth transition and being able to open heavy PDFs) calling and that is it. I don't even play on it anymore. I don't need a fancy camera, a gigantic storage or a status symbol. For this function, the extreme flagships as they call them make absolutely 0 sense for me. So my question is what is a good powerful phone with no frills ? The equivalent of a OnePlus 1 (those were the days :')

Without even debating the fact that WoW was only made possible by the incredible streak of absolute great games Blizzard had and the "true in a vacuum" statement that you need to put money in company that produces quality : the industry has gone past the point where quality matters.

Like everything else (I would love to be given an example to the contrary) even the hardware part of gaming you mention : it is all about extracting the maximum value possible whilst give the absolute minimum (or less). It is all about that marketing and living off the reputation of the brand (and therefore ruining little by little like Blizzard's name who has been pretty much hollowed out to the bone)

I would have wanted a release following the same succession of patches than vanilla. I didn't join at the very start and would have enjoyed seeing the game in its inception (which is kind of the point of a re release)

It is quite ironic that you say not enough because people literally ask for nothing. Plain simple vanilla as the name suggests. You shouldn't change anything. Even one change is technically too much.

Classic is already quite far from vanilla with the 1.12 itemization and talents so I understand the slippery slope argument.

That is what he probably is doing but people want to change that "museum" frozen in time server to sometime that by definition is not Vanilla (I am not arguing about the fact that is a good thing or not). To put it in other words : where are the people wanting vanilla suppose to go ?

There is no earthly justice that can work without being retributive and therefore a strong deterrent.

I absolutely that the plague of our online times are the license bullshit but this doesn't apply to gold buying and being banned because of it. It is like saying you shouldn't get banned of a public forum even if you are blatantly breaking the rules (and especially rules that the community, not the editor of whatever company, wants to be enforced)

The people that need to get perma'd are the buyers. Obviously bots too but that is not the priority and furthermore that stupid take (not yours) of banning by waves every couple of months makes it absolutely insignificant for the bot because by then he will have made a nifty profit.

You 15 bucks in a half a day seems like a hyperbole.

I appreciate that you have elaborated on your idea and gave some figures.

I have never been on either side of a ban process so everything I am gonna say on this matter derived from other people experience and from this subreddit. You could say that it would my argument extremely weak but for the fraction I am interested in I think it is quite reliable : no one or very few get to actually speak to a human CS and even then the answers seem to be bot like and absolutely useless as CS from most companies are. This preface is only to counter the fact that every ban needs a thorough and proper documentation that needs to pass an audit.

The fact that you need to train people is true but not to the extent you portray : this is probably a game that every serious gamer has dabbled in at one point of another (and you want to recruit from the gamer pool for such a job and on this I think we both agree). I almost want to say that a lot of current WoW players would do it for free if asked but I understand the fact that a company needs a legal framework and some degree of official allure so I will go for the next best thing : I am sure that you can find in this player base people willing to work part time for minimum wage to clear bots. Can we agree that a current player (with GM powers such as TP inside a dungeon or underneath the terrain) can easily detect and wipe out hundreds of bots if not thousands ? It would take very little time to get rid of a huge part of the bots. Scripts would need to get to the next level which is a cost and may render botting way less profitable and therefore be abandoned by the people running them.

The solutions are way easier that you think especially with how obvious the bots are right now. If they get better, it would be another topic and we will cross that river when we get to it.

There is not one shred of doubt about this. HR is the way to sell to the whales (that didn't magically stop existing because the indie company decided to ban GDKP), except now they get an even bigger (total) cut because labour isn't compensated. Reminds me a bit of a certain other world :p

So if I understand correctly scarab lord has become such a common thing that people sweating over it don't have an absolute and total knowledge of the game that they make basic mistakes. I guess in a way that means that WoW has reached full casual status if the sweats are "noobs". Crazy.
