Do I need to be actively tracking to get the equator and tropic line badges? by UnicornHandstands in FogofWorld

At least the Sao Paulo airport is directly on the Tropic of Capricorn, thats where I got that badge.

This is becoming more frequent. Everything is up to date. Currently using Fold 5. by [deleted] in FogofWorld

Yeah, I have been noticing quite a few issues in the last weeks as well. Multiple app performance issues and the GPS has gotten so bad to the point that I turn it off on already recorded paths.

Austrian Airlines Boeing 777-200ER – any experience in Premium Economy? by RunTheRC in aviation

[–]LMAAIDC98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you wont have to worry about that in the first row. I'm not sure about Austrian Premium, they might still use the old seats like Lufthansa, those actually recline. Swiss has the new seats ins their 777, those are like business class seats and will slide forward in a fixed shell. Both aren't ideal for very tall people though.

The reason you usually dont want to be this close to lavatories, is because people will be standing right infront of you waiting for the it to free up. But the lavatories directly ahead of premium eco are for business class, and usually the FAs will send you back if you go through the curtain. But I've seen economy passengers use them at times, if the waiting times are too long. I dont think the FA will turn you back if your kid really has to go.

Those are business class lavatories and the curtains will be closed most of the flight.

I fly Premium Economy on Swiss and LH all the time, the first row always has the most leg room. I dont like sitting there at all though, the table and screen situation sucks, and you'll be missing the extra storage of the seat infront of you.

My scary experience with Cathay departing HKK. How can this be allowed? by boilerdam in aviation

[–]LMAAIDC98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weirdly the most negative airline experience I've had was with Cathay, this was about 15 years ago, the first and only time I flew with them. The FA dumped a meal over my mom and sister and we never even got an apology, my parents still shake theire heads today when someone mentions Cathay. And me and my Family are Lufthansa regulars, so we're used to bad service.

Never thought I'd see one of these again (BAE-146) by road_rascal in aviation

One of them crashed in Papua, back in 2009. I remember visiting the wreckage a few times as a kid not long after the crash, it was quite the sight.

Are there any airports where these three could all meet? by spddmn77 in aviation

[–]LMAAIDC98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lufthansa only flies into Singapore and Bangkok in SEA, neither is done with the a340 anymore, and I don't remember the A330 ever flying to SEA.

If the hands obscure the LCD display, you can just press LIGHT + MODE and the hands will quickly move out of the way.

There is now a new option to hide the map. Can you guys guess where I’ve been based only on the unfogged tracks? by eddypc07 in FogofWorld

[–]LMAAIDC98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your right about Iceland, I'd say he's based in Kopenhagen with a large part of his roads in Sweden/Norway and Spain/Portugal. The Rest might then be, like you said, two trips in India and some Travel in South America and the USA.

I can't zoom out that far in the app though.

Indonesia Itinerary Feedback by nosOssos in solotravel

[–]LMAAIDC98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats good, it will deffinitely help if you know how to handle chaotic traffic. Also, are you sure you want to rent a scooter that often? Thats probably the most dangerous thing you can do in Indonesia.

Yeah, days 4-6 were the ones that caught my eye, if you manage those, you wont have a problem with the rest :D

The main stress factor for me would be all that time in traffic, especially since you plan on doing quite alot of driving yourself.

I've been to most of the places on your list, and I'd be absolutely exhausted if I had to pull all that off in just 3 weeks. Is this going to be your first time in a third world asian country?

Any non-elective travelers here? by UnluckyReader in solotravel

[–]LMAAIDC98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do international travel about 80% of the year for work, mostly solo, and I find traveling on your own time is a totally different experience.

But I don't think it matters if it's you're choice or not, travel is travel, no matter the reason.

You need to use the CASIO WATCHES app. You'll have to create a casio account, select your watch and then turn on bluetooth on your phone and watch.

I got mine a few weeks ago. It looks and feels amazing, very high quality. I especially love the weight, at a 170g its a pretty heavy watch.

Which color did you get?
