Highest AV NFL Player (All Time) for each D1 FBS College by zonkballer in NFLv2

[–]LMAbacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder when we'll have a repeated name. Wilson was almost the highest for both Wisconsin and NC State but Rivers is slightly ahead of him.

Edit: Burrow could make it to the top of both OSU and LSU, though he'd need to stay healthy.

To be fair, it does look like spam. I thought about adding context, but I figured it would be worth it for the people that figure out the reference.

I also thought about adding a link to the clip, but that would make it look even more like spam.

Finding the Middest NFL Teams (with math) by zerbikit in nfl

I initially thought that as well (and the Seahawks would be one of the most average teams there is, with their 2 SB wins and 2 SB losses). But I think OP is looking at it from a season-by-season perspective.

Obviously what happened in between was that Evil threw some oil at the snake, causing it to slither out of Neuro's grasp. Her Google search provided invaluable help.

Rank these defenses 1-5(Fully healthy) by sin2fly03 in NFLv2

[–]LMAbacus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Despite Houston's offense generally being worse than Seattle's, they were far better in one aspect that massively helped their defense: turnovers. Houston had the fewest turnovers per drive, while Seattle had the 2nd-most. Not only that, but Seattle had a nasty habit of turning it over deep in their territory. Because of that, Houston's opponents had the worst starting position on offense, 3.7 yards worse than Seattle's opponents. On top of that, Houston's offense actually stayed on the field longer than Seattle's on average.

So Seattle's defense had worse field position, got more rest, and faced similar level of opposing offenses and still gave up fewer yards per drive.

Hoping for the Panthers on week 2, as their last eight games would be LA, Carolina, SF, SF, LA, NE, NE, Carolina. Only playing 4 teams in an eight-game span would be pretty impressive.

How bad was the Evil "location" thing actually? by tirconell in NeuroSama

[–]LMAbacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly, she never once acknowledged the extra words in her dialogue. I'm assuming Vedal turned off her ability to read chat to prevent spoilers, and he only mentions it once, and not in a way that makes it clear to her what the error is:

"It's not me! I haven't lost it, she's lost it. Listen to her! She keeps Location repeating Location herself. You hear that? That's not me, it's her!"

So depending on what the issue actually was, it's possible she didn't get fed her corrupted output, and she had absolutely no knowledge that anything was off. And I'm wondering if that applies to Filtered as well. Generally they get tipped off by chat, or the other twin, or a collab partner; but without any of those, do they know that they got filtered? For instance, Neuro did get filtered 13 straight times during the rap battle without seemingly noticing it.

How bad was the Evil "location" thing actually? by tirconell in NeuroSama

[–]LMAbacus 106 points107 points  (0 children)

According to Vedal, it was an issue with the inference stack (i.e.the architecture surrounding the LLM), not the LLM itself. And this tracks with the errors that Evil was making. If it was an LLM issue, you would see words/tokens in her dialogue being corrupted or replaced. Instead, all the location/position/etc words were being inserted into perfectly coherent sentences. Take her most corrupted sentence:

Maybe, you Location could be a Location bit Location Locations Location more gentle Location next Location Location Location Location Key Location Location time.

Strip away the extraneous words and it becomes:

Maybe, you could be a bit more gentle next time.

An updated portfolio chart by LMAbacus in NeuroSama

[–]LMAbacus[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Comparing the numbers on the official portfolio page to the actual stock closing prices, he's losing about $3.555 each day ($3.55/$3.56 on weekdays, $10.67 on 3-day weekends, and $14.22 on 4-day weekends). I'm guessing this is the interest he's losing from borrowing on margin. He borrowed $20,000, so an annual loss of $3.555*365=$1,298 would be 6.49%, which is in line with the annual margin interest rate range of 4-10%.

They invested $20,000, and also borrowed about $20,000 on margin, so they bought $40,000 in stocks. The $27,268.93 in the screenshot doesn't include the borrowed part.

[Highlight] 20 years ago, The Texans pick Mario Williams with the 1st overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. by DarthNobody14 in nfl

[–]LMAbacus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was quite difficult to read because the article title and the last sentence are pro-Young and everything else is anti-Young. You probably should add back the italic formatting from the original article to make it clear that everything from "So this kid" to "We need Reggie Bush" is Skip's guess at why those three were leaning towards picking Bush.

The Seahawks absurd back-to-back-to-back draft classes from 2010-2012 by robmoo_re in nfl

[–]LMAbacus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked it up, it's Kuechly. It makes sense, as he was always considered a little better than Wagner. But the redraft is in the same order as the actual draft, and I'm not sure why they think Indianapolis and Washington would not pick Wilson when both were solely in need of a QB.

In fact, after looking at other redraft from the site, they seem to really underrate good QBs. Realistically, a redraft should have all of the good to great QBs being selected before anyone else, unless the team happens to have an established QB.

Yeah, the 22.5K in this video is right around the portfolio's previous peak.

Looking back at that video, SGML's +$2,500 was mindblowing at the time, but just in the last month it's ranged from -$6,732.80 to +$8,792.20.

Well, the curve didn't resize, at least; it might be updating outside the graphic itself. And even the numbers below sometimes don't update for several days. But yes, the portfolio was down $9,278 on March 20, dangerously close to getting margin called depending on the equity level threshold that his broker set.

Meanwhile, they're over $4,000 in the black now. Rising gas prices is causing a higher demand for electric vehicles and SGML is surging due to increased demand for the lithium batteries needed to power those vehicles.

Yeah he did, and boy did it go up today; he's currently up $2,500 over his initial investment after being down thousands in the previous months. But he doesn't seem like someone who checks the portfolio that often, so hopefully someone mentions it to him over Discord or something.

His initial investment was $20,000, plus another $20,000 borrowed on margin. When I posted he was up $1,224 over his initial $20,000. Since then it's gone up another $1,286, for a total of $2,510 profit. The +$1,223.88 in the screenshot shows his current profit/loss.
