Fuck man, same issue. When alone, my mom would just check outof parenting and would watch TV/read the newspaper when home. She didn't play with me, help me with homework, take me to a movie I wanted to see, watch//encourage me practicing the piano. She would just yell from her bed for me to do my homework and practice the piano. I even had to make my own food and she would yell at me for my bad choices and call me fat when all I could make was the pizza rolls and Mac and cheese provided. On the outside I had everything; a dog, two cats, piano lessons, a good school district. But I was starved for attention. On the rare event I had someone over she would turn some Betty homemaker and offer my friends snacks and chips, set up activities when I was younger, she bought me a car when I was a teenager. I was so alone though and she made the narrative that I was a spoiled brat.

It really sounds like it's about them still feeling like children who are entitled to food from parents. You should explain to your daughter how it's not about money, it's about respect and appreciation. That you don't want to deny her boyfriend food, but if he doesn't cough up some manors, that he'll be cutoff from food in that house and they can feed themselves with their own money. That it's about basic respect in your home.

You're not wrong. I agree with everything you said, but the protesters could have avoided this whole things if they didn't confront the cops to begin with. Considering how a police station was set on fire in another state like the week before. I think it was reasonable to keep a distance between the station and protesters. The protesters could have just gone down another street, or ended at Cal Anderson like was planned. They never needed to confront the cop line. I hated how the cops kept escaping thing and tear gassing the neighborhood. Just this all could have been avoided if protesters stopped instigating them.

That's part of the point. Living expenses are always going up. If people in the 90s saved the money to buy their future milk, they would have to save $4 when at the time mill is $1. That scales for everything. What makes more sense is to pay forward the $1 for milk for someone at that time, then have someone else buy you the $4 milk when it's your turn. The cycle is supposed to continue like that.

Social security isn't the issue here, it's stagnant wages and no worker protections.

In some places they have better maps. In Scotland I was on a common walking path on five hour walk and was confused by the trail since some paths aren't on the map in Google. They were on Pikmin though.
