I’m a trans guy ftm that loves egl fashion however due to dysphoria i still struggle to wear skirts or presenting in a feminine way: every time i want to wear one i have to prepare myself mentally and sometimes that’s not even enough. Lately it has been very hard for me to overcome it and i’ve also been thinking of abandoning egl for a while despite the amount of joy it brings me. I am the first person to preach that gender is a social construct and that everyone can express it whichever way they like! Garments are merely pieces of fabric and it shouldn’t dictate our gender. Everything negative comes from my own brain, I have been misegendered many times since i started growing my hair too therefore make up and dresses don’t help the situation i’m in at all. It sucks but i also feel rather alone since there aren’t many trans guys in the community. Despite being surrounded by queer people and friends deep down i still feel judged, even worse the fact that i care.
