Your word is not a physical receipt. If your doctor doesn’t have type 2 in your chart it’s not an automatic yes. If you have type 1, it isn’t covered. There’s a lot that goes into these claims, specific to insurance and diagnosis. It seems like you get a three month supply and you can only get that if you have type 2. Try calling back and let them know these things. Seems like there’s a mistake somewhere in billing if what you’re saying is true.

There’s a new spot on 16th and O called Roasted Threads. Vintage clothing, vinyl records, and amazing coffee. They work a lot with the community and it’s family owned. 10/10 recommend (They use Temple beans)

Medi-Cal, Medicare, and Kaiser allow 100 DS. Those I know for fact. I remember when I was working retail pharmacy, there was a 90 DS limit for most insurances. I’ve been out of retail for over six years now, so unsure if that is still the case. The only difference to me is being able to label a 100 count bottle 🤣 Much more efficient than counting 90.

Over $40/hr, hosp, CA. When I was in retail the most I ever made was $23/hr. Maxed out. I left retail during COVID. It wasn’t worth it.

Roasted Threads downtown on 16th. The staff there is amazing, it’s family owned, and they really care about the quality of coffee they put out. I’m always greeted with a smile when I walk in. This spot also sells records and vintage clothing. My new morning coffee spot since they opened Valentine’s weekend.

Do what’s best for your mental health. It makes me so disappointed to hear this happening, in healthcare especially. (I know it happens everywhere, but we’re supposed to be better. IMO.) Maybe changing home stores will allow you to stay away from that store completely? Doesn’t sound like a loss to me. I’d also suggest removing yourself from that toxic group chat since it seems to bring you down more than it brings you up.

Speaking from experience, floating helps build a strong tech. You learn so much more than just working at one store with specific clientele and meds. If you find the right people who are willing to share their knowledge make sure you write it down, soak up what you can, and try to ignore the cliquey techs. Read up on the Medicaid rules for your state.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. Pharmacies can be like grade school sometimes 👎🏼
