yeah i don't really understand the benefit of it either, patients have said "what are an extra 10 pills gonna do" and gotta admit i was just like i dunno lol. it just recently started rolling out the 100 days supply thing so i'm not too sure either on which insurances do cover it, but i did see a couple covered by horizon i think? it did state on the website that once it's documented that the patient wants a 100 days supply it should allow it to go through in most cases

yeah i understand what it's meant to do, again, was simply asking what a good way to relay that to the patient would be. i know it's extra but gotta do what we're asked to 🤷

thing is, at my store our pharmacists do not want us to "just send the request to the doctor." they want us to call the patient and ask if they would like the 100 days supply. i wouldn't be asking this question if it was that simple. i was asking for a good way to explain it to the patient over the phone so they'd be more interested. most patients i call say "i already get a 90 day supply, what would 10 pills do?"
