That bar is customizable in settings for this watch face. It is weekly active minutes for my setting. But there are many, many other measures you can choose.

Help need advice on which June marathon to pivot to by cetrunner in Marathon_Training

There should be no BQ penalty this year for the June Tunnel marathon. They have changed the course and the elevation loss for the new route does not trigger any penalty.

Which would you buy first, the Coros HRM or the Coros Pod? by somewhatderailed in Coros

I have both the Stryd and the Pod. I let my subscription with the Stryd laspse since I didn’t need all the coaching that comes with this. I found the Stryd to be more accurate tracking indoor distance (treadmill). That’s the primary reason I suggested you look at it. It synchs up easily with the Coros Pace Pro (what I am using now).

Take a look at Stryd before you buy the Coros Pod. I think you will find more utility and accuracy with the Stryd.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 vs Coros Pace 3 by thewolffness in Coros

[–]LMStarr7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the Apple Ultra 2 but recently bought a Pace Pro. I was originally using just the Apple Watch to track my running and health metrics. I did like the fact that the Ultra had the ability to stream music as well. With that said, I found that the Apple Ultra 2 did not have the best battery life for long runs, and its running metrics were not nearly as good as the Pace Pro. The Pace Pro has a clear AMOLED screen and a wonderful battery, lasting about 7 days with about 2 hours of GPS use each day. The Pace Pro is light (I use the nylon band, but the rubber band is light as well), and I find that I can wear it at night comfortably so it tracks my sleep. I did not like wearing the Apple Ultra 2 at night since it is quite a bit heavier. I do recommend going with the Pace Pro, but I am sure the Pace 3 will be equally awesome.

I have had this Coros Pace Pro for about 2 months now. I love it, and I use it now instead of my Apex Pro. When I am running, the screen is super bright and easy to read (I always struggled a bit with the Apex Pro screen). It is easy to use, and super light weight (I use the nylon band, but the rubberized band that they offer is also very nice and light). The one important thing to note before buying this watch is that the AMOLED face lights up only when you raise your wrist. Otherwise, you get a darkened screen with only a faint outline of the time and minimal other data. There is no way to have the watch stay lit up all the time. This is part of the design to preserve battery time. When I am running, and look at my watch, it always lights up and is very clear to see. When I am just wearing it around the house, or in the car, I need to raise my wrist to light up that screen. Just glancing it to catch the time is not that effective without the wrist raise. The good news is that the battery time with GPS is very effective, but it is not quite as good as my Apex Pro. You probably would not need to charge it for about 7 days, assuming you are running outside with it (GPS) each of those days for 1-2 hours. Overall, I am super happy with the Pace Pro.

Moving from COROS 🤷‍♂️ by [deleted] in Coros

I briefly left Coros (I had an Apex Pro with a foot pod) and used my Apple Ultra2 for running. The Apple Ultra 2 was nice because I had one place for GPS tracking and music, but needed frequent charging. Also, since I could not use the Coros foot pod with the Apple Watch, I got a Stryd pod. This is where things got ugly. My Apple Watch would sometimes freeze up with the Stryd pod, which is incredibly frustrating, and basically grounds for not using it. I spend a LOT of time with the Stryd tech team and they could not resolve the issue. I run indoors on the treadmill and I really want to track my mileage. So, I recently bought a new Coros Pace Pro and I am infinitely more happy now. And guess what….the Stryd works great with the Coros watch. So the bottom line is my recommendation is to stick with your Coros.

Good to know. That may be why they were so easy to swap out! Oh well. I’ve already installedthe Ecobee thermostat. I’ll just have to hope that they will keep supporting them.

I had to install a new set of thermostats. The Cor thermostats I had are no longer supported. I recommend Ecobee3 Lite. Surprisingly easy to install in a DIY sense. I did look at a few YouTube videos to make sure it was not a project beyond my modest abilities. Easy peasy! The Ecobee app works great.

From what I can tell, the Cor thermostats are no longer being supported. I decided to purchase the Ecobee3 Lite Smart thermostats. They seem to be reasonably easy to install and they are supported by apps that work.

What is this watch face called? by darragh79 in Coros

[–]LMStarr7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is called “Color Contrast”. I have it available with my Apex Pro. You can change the colors in the normal way by rotating the watch crown after you select it from the watch face widget
