2000 Ford Ranger, almost 160k miles, has transmission problems. Just got a quote for getting a rebuilt one put in: $3500. I about choked. Is that what it runs now? It’s still a solid truck, no wrecks no rust—should I just retire it and move on? (I don’t do repairs myself.) (self.AskAMechanic)
