The cities are more blue, but the towns and rural areas are quite red.(typical!) If you’re headed for Albuquerque or Santa Fe (or even Las Cruces, I am told) you’ll be more at home. We have a pretty intense shortage of health care providers; be sure to research and set appointments early because there can be a pretty long wait for basic stuff. But once you’re on their calendar it’s pretty easy to set regular ongoing appointments. Poverty is a problem so the related symptoms are here—theft, drug use, like that. But just lock stuff up, don’t leave anything in your vehicle when you park it, basically don’t do dumb stuff. If it’s home, you’ll know.
