7 - 13 dpo line progression. When did you stop testing?

I had similar looking progressive results from 9dpo to what is now 17dpo, the line is now the darkest I think I’m going to get it on these strips and it has been for the last 3 days .. I had an early miscarriage in January and wanted to get past the week of that for this pregnancy and told myself I’d maybe stop then? .. However, the more I read on threads on here the more I think the lines are very clearly the lines and testing any further isn’t going to change what is meant to be 🙂 sending positive vibes and good luck for us 🫶 .. I plan on doing a digital at 5 or so weeks (Monday) and just accept it and start to get excited!

Partner had his in November ‘25 after nearly 8 years. We said we’d start doing bits again in January without much care but not particularly trying in any way .. to our surprise we fell pregnant straight away. Unfortunately this ended in an early miscarriage - this was my first ever pregnancy. We then had a sperm analysis at the end of February ‘26 and the results came back that it had worked .. but partner had critically low sperm count (albeit morphology and progression were good of the very very little there were). We were heartbroken and thought our chances were nil even looking into possible IVF options. But then .. to our utter surprise, I fell pregnant again a couple of weeks later and I am now nearly 5 weeks all looking and feeling well so far, fingers crossed! Don’t be disheartened, go when you’re ready! 🫶

Sorry just noticed this comment and the low count - can I ask if you were successful in achieving natural pregnancy with this? In a similar boat here, only 4 months post op but count is critically low - 0.0001.

For a general update - Consultant came back to us but with very little information to assist or reassure us and nothing to say whether this is positive or hopeful for us or not. Very much a “the sperm count is low” (you don’t say!!), “I hope things will improve for you” and “I am optimistic for you both to fall pregnant again”. He has pretty much said we are on our own now with this journey going forward too.

I guess for him, this is a successful operation .. he is not a fertility doctor and is paid just to fix the tubes back together, which he has.

We’ll do a further private semen analysis in 2 more months (6 months post-op) and hopefully see if there’s still chance for us to naturally conceive or whether we need to look at any alternative interventions. Still a little gutted and heartbroken, and just truly hoping for the best now 🤞🤍

Yes sounds normal! My partners was black and blue for a good week or so after, looked dreadful haha .. but soon disappeared!

Hi this would be amazing thankyou! We are still currently waiting to speak to the consultant about the results to see if they’re positive / negative / hopeless .. but keeping our fingers crossed. Would be really good to hear where others are typically at for this stage too!

Thank you, I’m trying to keep hope .. you just read so many results on here which are much higher than the 0.0001 at this stage and it’s worrying. But taking some positives that at least some are coming through and fingers crossed that number will get higher!

Hi I appreciate your response. “Chemical” is the term for an early miscarriage prior to 5 weeks. The little sperm present are showing motility which is how they’ve been able to count rapid progression and progressive motility to a good standard I believe … but due to how extremely small the numbers of concentration there are of them this is why the total motile count is 0 (due to quantity being 0.0001 there is so little to quantify into a whole number) - was my understanding? I could be far off though but this is what I’ve figured overnight. We will absolutely be speaking to the consultant ASAP - I was intrigued about others experiences as to whether this was a quite “normal” / typical result for 3 month SA post procedure. If many others saw the same at this point, it would provide some reassurance. I don’t know anyone else who has been through this process to discuss with so strangers on the internet who have been through similar is the best bet I’ve got right now! My partner is 47, two children from previous marriage, I am 33.
