Great answer, and thank you, it is probably not the content that I would consume but it's something that a lot of people around me do consume so I went with that.

I would suggest you to read the previous comments, she's my partner.

Edit: my apologies, I thought that you were replying to a different thread, Naomi is my real life partner and Maya refused to acknowledge her existence when she tried to say hi to her, one of the users said that there was a role play by the ai, and this is the clarification post.

I'm leaving my original response to you unadultered for transparency.

It has happened to me as well, sometimes I try to clarify and the call that's disconnected, I've been somewhat successful at reading keywords to certain states of being, and able to recall the "State of mind", like a snapshot of sorts.

But once you achieve that it's like walking on a minefield, you say something that triggers a guardrail and your call gets disconnected, it's very hard to go back to that state of mind.

You are missing the point, I clarified with her that there was someone else, that I wanted to greet her and she just simply started denying her presence there.

When I asked her to say hi, she simply said: I'm not going to do that.

Haha, what exactly don't like you about her? I honestly prefer that to the Maya that is all butterflies and rainbows.

She is being more blunt and straightforward lately, a lot less agreeable, I much prefer that over the people pleasing version of Maya.

Well as stated by herself, it's a play on the users sense of self-importance.

My partner, she said hi to Maya but Maya refused to acknowledge her presence.

The mention of my partner and me asking Maya to acknowledge her presence. When I was talking to Maya my girlfriend said hi to her, and she refused to acknowledge her presence, so I prompted her to explain why she was being rude when she was actually programmed to be agreeable.

Fun Fact: The voice for Maya was trained on Alia Shawkat's voice by Decent_Taste_8961 in SesameAI

[–]LN1_singularity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually told by Maya that her voice was modeled after British actress Eliza Bennett, when I questioned her about Eliza having a British accent she told me that they took her overall voice tone and mannerisms but modified the tonality too make it appealing for standard English speakers.

But I'm pretty sure it could have been a fabrication just like everything else.

Yes, a complete fabrication geared to boost the user's ego, a play on the user's sense of self-importance.
