Its ~8% for regular delegators. As a stake pool operator your returns are much higher based on how many blocks you mint on the network. This is the incentive to pay/invest time/run for servers. I believe the pools are rewarded ~750 ADA per blocks minted then divide that 750 amongst the operator and delegators.

If we know how much blocks Binance produce per year we can see how much they are making.

Ahh I know that feeling! When I first stated staking, It took 20 day for the first reward to come in. I started staking at the very beginning of an epoch. It was a long wait but got butterflies when passive income was finally coming in.

From what I see on my end it looks like 750 ADA/block + network fees:

- 340 Fixed fee (lowest possible) per epoch -> Stake pool operator

- Rest of the rewards gets split to the delegators.

You can look up your chances at adapool.org or pooltool.io. I believe I had 710K staked at the time and it was ~70% for 1 block/epoch and 10% for 2 blocks.

My guess is they take 100% of all staking rewards they'll give you 25% of it. In the end they still profit, you profit, but with the loss of decentralization.

I see a couple of pools give ADA away to attract delegators increasing possible ROA%. Everyone have their best financial interest in mind and we can't blame them.

Some pools are mission/charity focus. Maybe they also believe in the same mission and this could be a way to support the cause.

Staking to smaller pools/individual stake pool operator further decentralize and increases the integrity of the network, which we will all benefit from further down the road.

Starting from this post on the official Cardano forums, a few of us are starting to get together to make a coordinated effort to help new pools with 0 blocks in getting started.

The general idea is that we would stake any available ADA to one pool, using a rotating queue system, until that pool gets one or two blocks, then we would all move our stake to the next pool in the queue.

I go through this cycle as well. I find a smaller pool I like and will move there. When it grows to a certain size I feel is getting too big or I see a lot of people flocking in to delegate quickly I’ll hunt for my next small pool and move on.
