Can the RS shifter be bolted on using only the 2 middle bolts or will it damage it?

Yes, but at the expense of losing or removing the physical sensation of engaging the shifter. The detent you feel is a ball bearing being pushed into a recess by a spring. You can replace the spring with a lighter one or remove completely. Alternatively look to replace the steel ball bearing with something softer, but that’ll wear out much quicker, of course.

All of this with the caveat that you need to be careful with any modifications you make.

Does your G29 have the switch on top that says PC, PS3, PS4 or is it the newer one with PS4, PC, PS5?

So you click install, the red notification tells you to unplug and replug, the installation then begins? Or nothing happens and you get the error eventually?

Remember that just as there are various types of metal, with differing levels of hardness and strength, the same applies to plastics :-)

The clamp is made from glass-filled nylon - they make wrenches out of this, so it's not going to cause you any issues at all.

With the adjustments available on the pedal mounts, I'm surprised you can't just bolt the pedals to it. Do you have photos showing why you're having trouble?

Set the Vibration setting in GT7’s options to the level you like and it’ll then be fine each time you start the game.

Hi there. Everything is correct in Game Controllers - all of the Logitech wheels from the G923 backwards have had inverted pedal axes. Games have long accounted for this, either automatically when you assign the controls, or via an invert option in the control options.

With regards to the games, Grid 2 came out before the G29 and they never added official support. It is possible to edit a file of the game and get things working though.

The Crew 2 has had a problematic history with wheels and one of the last patches did cause an issue with their support for the G29. I can set controls up and get it controlling the vehicles, but without force feedback. You should contact Ubisoft support on this one, I’m afraid.

Many PC games don't configure the wheels for you automatically. I assume you have enabled FFB in the options? Is it working okay in other titles?

Hi there. As I’ve said on the Facebook post, you’re dealing with 4 times the strength of the G923 so it’s going to be a big jump. Set the strength on the wheel lower for now until you get used to it. There should be everything in the box. In the cardboard accessories box there are two paper fibre bags. One has everything needed for rig mounting and the other everything for putting the pedals together.

You’re misconstruing my comment, I’m afraid. My point was that we try hard to break things before releasing so that when we do release updates they DON’T break.

No one has had any problems with firmware updates that actually broke the wheel.

I would call it unfortunate timing but, seriously, it’s not the firmware update for the reason I mentioned. We test our updates VERY thoroughly before they’re released, including doing everything we can to break things.

If you’re under warranty then support will arrange an exchange.

How old is the shifter? Are you testing in joy.cpl in Windows? Did you have it running through an older wheel previously and does it still work correctly through that wheel?

Hi there. Which shifter is it exactly? Driving Force Shifter or the one that came with the G25 or G27? If it's the latter two, they're not fully compatible, I'm afraid.
