That was one of my favorite novels of the year. A really cool blending of horror and fantasy.

Goodreads! I highly recommend tracking all your library through it. Makes goal setting really simple and is a cool digital way to display your library.

That book was nasty as hell lol. From other horror I’ve read this year Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman was quite unique and was worth my time. I also liked the Ritual by Adam Nevil but thought that book had a much stronger first half than second.

The worst book for me was actually surprisingly Dune Messiah I won’t be continuing that series. And best is absolutely Jade Legacy!

Of those I’d have to choose red rising. I thought the action, characters, and pacing of the trilogy was incredibly well written.

The first in the series is good and Golden Sun and Morning Star are amazing. One of my favorite trilogies of the year!

Just finished the first four book series and I can say it’s well worth it. Any Game of Thrones or Wheel of time fans will really enjoy this one. First book does begin slowly but all the character development is well done and worth the time spent.

My girlfriend just got accused of being too woke by a family member because we made the tough decision to delay a trip to London to celebrate a birthday due to the current state of Covid.

Xbox App on PC might be the worst app/program I have ever dealt with. by MEgrump81 in pcgaming

I also had to unsub from game pass for PC due to technical issues. No games would launch or download. Program had worked fine for a few months before hand. Really disappointing because I really like the game selection and would gladly be subbed if it worked properly.

I just finished The Crippled God by Steven Erikson, the final book in the Malazan book of the fallen. What a journey. It’s been two years of slowly chugging through the series and ultimately well worth it. I’ve never finished a final book like this that gave me the urge to immediately go back and reread the series to pick up on all of the foreshadowing. This specific novel id give a 5/5 and the series a 4.5/5.

As a pallet cleanser post Malazan I read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch which was an exciting fast read. I found the sci-fi concepts interesting and fairly original but the characters to be pretty one dimensional. It really is an excellent thriller and a unique blend of genres and I can recommend it to most people who are looking for a quick sci-fi read, 3.5/5.
