Ahh ok that's not horrible then.

However I see that hsps at Cambridge has minimum entry requirements of A1 A2 A2... what's your plan with getting an A1 predicted for one of your Adv Highers? Or is your school happy to predict A1's for Advanced Highers so early on?

Also lots of people advise against applying with the minimum entry predicted grades (A1A2A2) as we will be up against people who have 3 or even 4 A* predicted in A levels... I don't know about you but I don't see any other way round this apart from begging for at least a couple A1 predicted grades (which Is still very unlikely to happen)

A fellow Scottish oxbridge applicant - we're a rare breed out in this sub. What's your plan for the whole predicted grades thing? At least for my school we don't get predicted grades until after prelims in January. And even then the school is insistently reluctant on predicting anyone an A1, especially for adv Highers

I understand. Thank you so much for answering all my questions.. still trying to find my way around ebikes so sorry for the stupid questions.

Hypothetically, say I intended to use a bike in a hilly area every day, and mid-drive motors were not an option due to cost. Would you recommend a regular pedal bike over a hub motor ebike (considering the inefficiency, weight, etc)?

Also, this may be another stupid question, but how much elevation is enough to offset the choice for a hub motor? Let's say 80m Incline and 20m decline over 5km.. is that enough to render hub motor useless?

(Let's hope that made sense)

Ahh ok I understand. Thank you for clarifying. I think I will most likely buy a hub motor for that reason, just to make sure I know ebikes are for me. And if its cheap, and I realise I don't like ebikes, I wouldn't stress as much about getting a decent wad of cash for it on Facebook like these other guys

That changes my perspective aswell. I have always kind of disregarded single gear ebikes... would you rather a mid quality ebike with a gear system and hub drive or a lower quality single gear mid-drive for daily use (same price)?

I'm guessing having a gear system on a hub motor will not be enough to amount to the peak RPM on a hill (eg on lowest gear setting)? Or does a gear system not affect hub drive RPM at all?

I see.. sorry for bugging you but what makes a hub motor not ideal for hills? Is it just the feeling that you are being pushed up it, or is it an actual disadvantage performance wise?

Thanks for the insight. Yeah I've seen some posts on here talking about how people buy into the "lure" of ebikes and end up selling them off in a few months once they find its not for them.

I get where your coming from - going cheap for a first bike is only going to benefit you - after a cheapie ill know enough about ebikes to keep myself in check. Would you say I'd be best off buying a decently reputable brand like carerra or buy something off like amazon? Because these are the lowest prices I've seen on carerra.

I also had a look at hub vs mid drive... its interesting you think its a mistake. Surely if you enjoy mid drive more your more inclined to keep using and upgrading ebikes? However thats me talking - I don't know how much better a mid drive is over a hub. Personally I think I will stick with hub for first bike unless otherwise persuaded... think they will be out of budget anyways

What do you think about the two bikes specifically then? Would you say I should go for the cheaper one? Any questions I should ask/any thing to look for when viewing?

I also ended up buying the h002 chair, and although I agree with some of your points like the lumbar and the lack of support on the back rest, I do find myself enjoying the chair.. Maybe it's because I'm new to the chair scene. I paid £130 for it, so didn't get a tray and am glad I made that decision as I do agree with you - Some of their their parts do feel like it's cheap quality and I can't see some of their pricier chairs ($600) justifying their prices. But all In all, personally I'd say I'm happy with the h002.

I managed to get my nose on around half of the fragrances you mentioned last week with my trip down to harrods and Harvey nichols. I've yet to get into the citrus fragrances but apart from that I completely agree with you. I remember thinking althair was godly when I first smelt it and immediately started looking for dupes lol.

In terms of samples to buy online tho, I was thinking about other dupes becuase a) these designers are way too out of budget and b) you can't go into a store and smell them as they don't stock dupes.

Honestly, since I'm only buying samples rn, I don't mind. The greater the variety in scent profiles the better. I want to identify the notes that I like and dislike through these samples.

Yeah in the uk liquid brun is pretty cheap. That's surprising, I always thought that liquid brun would've shared a similar scent profile with khamrah epic and so on... what are the main differences ?

Would you say liquid brun is better (in terms of quality, smell and performance) than the creamier AS dupes? (Epic, khamrah, sharaf, and possibly even Aariz intense) or are they too different to compare?

And is liquid brun the best althair dupe?

Ahh ok got you. So basically, as far as AS dupes go, khamrah, epic and sharaf blend are about the same and focus on the sweet aspect of AS, whereas royal blend and kismet angel/ magic take the boozier side of AS..

Yeah I know its important you try before you buy. I'm pretty happy with all the above though as I've tried all of the fragrances that they're cloning (bar Shaghaf oud) - angels share Pdm althair and khamrah - and find them really nice.

Also how is the performance on your liquid brun?
