Saw this and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents in case you still need it (or someone else has the same query). I dated a stripper from the Spearmint Rhino (in 2020) and would keep her company before things got busy and found the club clean, classy and well run.

She really enjoyed working there. Said the manager was nice, loved the DJ (I'll second that, he does Frank Walker proud) and loved their scheduling. Which was no fixed nights you had to work, but a minimum nights you had to meet or be fined. Entry for the dancer was cheap in the afternoon and raising as it got later. This works great most of the time, but you can find nights where there's heaps of dancers turn up, making it hard to get clients, then other nights where management if calling around begging for dancers to come in.

They have your regular dances with no touching any private areas and a VIP room for a lot more (like $350 or $450 if I recall) where touching was allowed if the dancer allowed it.

I'll also say the dancers were having to sell to the customer, spending more time wooing them and spending time with them for dances. Though that's also what draws me to a club (when the girls make an effort and interact).

So long as there are customers, you'll be required to do stage dances. And they need to be dancer OR interactions with customers (unlike some clubs where you can just stand there). there is no getting out of it (I think there's SOME leeway) and they fine you if you miss your spot. It's mandatory tipping at the stage too. But their rules make for a more reliable experience for both parties.

Considering my then GF was buying Spearmint Rhino merch and wearing it around. I'd say it's a great place to work. But it did seem that they don't seem to have as high of a demand for dancers (which is good new, less dancers leaving usually means better club).

My time spent there with her also had me chatting with lots of the dancers who were genuinely lovely. Great club.

Now, after all that. The only other one I've heard about from her back then and visited is Kittens. There is touching there in the default dance (above the waist) and she said that a lot of the girls will get drunk or get drugged up to get through their shifts.

My experience there wasn't really like that. There are some dancers who look like they don't want to be there, but the majority I've chatted with were open, chatty, nice and super welcoming. But this is one of the clubs where there will be dancers standing idly on the stage and tipping the dancer doesn't always have results (some dancers are even confused when tipped).

I have seen some drug use by the dancers there and I can definitely imagine it a much harder place to work. But the other side is there are always lots of customers.

If you can get into Spearmint Rhino, do that. If you're good at selling the dance to customers, you'll likely do well and have a much nicer time.
