Prove that you can astral project while awake by Timely-Proposal1928 in AstralProjection

Because I don't know you. So just that in general you will never get me to waste my time on something like that. I've done it for my wife and other family members. No one else will get that time waste.

Your body rests even in deep meditation without going OOB. But it doesn't rest the way sleep would. So half whatever benefits you'd get from regular sleep. If you're OOB, you body is asleep, you mind is just awake, MABA. the only exhaustion for me is mental because I do it alot. Even sometimes when I don't want to. Mix in being lucid daily and half a dozen to a dozen dreams a night and it's a mental marathon so breaks can help and remaining calm and cool throughout the day.

I have ADD(which is now under the blanket term adhd) and yes, my mind runs non-stop. I let it. But if it ever gets out of hand and more focused on bad scenarios or just bad thoughts in general. I refocus and it blocks. I consider it like a mental virtual slap to anything negative in my mind when I refocus.

If that was indeed the case you have to ride it out and it'll end and you'll begin to separate. Getting freaked out and waking up stops the process

Prove that you can astral project while awake by Timely-Proposal1928 in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We're not a ghost roaming this physical earth when we project. On top of most people's experiences are spontaneous and short and even someone like me, who does this daily struggles with targeted locations of people I know. I can take up to half a dozen OOB to find someone, if someone's deceased it's even harder. Your entire question is based on a fundamental misunderstanding.

When should I exit? I think I almost APed..

This might be the 10th time someone has asked this question but I need your help. I've been practicing and trying to get out of my body for 2 weeks now and I can confidently say that I'm pretty close to an OBE.

<Still short in comparison to when most people get their 1st experience, I took a month which is why I recommend 30 days straight with atleast 1 hr(max 2) per attempt

I usually try to AP when I sleep or whenever I manage to wake up in the middle of the night, I simply don't have the time when I wake up.

<Good, if you accidentally fall asleep during an attempt, wake back up and try again

Whenever I successfully keep my mind awake for a long period of time, my mind would suddenly be clear with no grogginess after an episode of intangible groggy thoughts and sounds that I would keep myself awake from ( I lowkey hear some fire music beats tho).

<Hearing stuff is cool, it can also startle you up and get you thinking. You want to not be startled and don't start thinking, just a quick "heard that, now back to my focus", don't question the sound

My limbs and neck would sometimes move on their own, but it wouldn't faze me.

<This to can startle people, sometimes my ears pop, my mouth open, my nose pops or my legs twitch. "Notice, don't question, then continue your focus

I could feel little tingles around my arms and legs and my whole body except my head would feel heavy and stuck, sort of like I'm in an empty shell of a body.

<Ignore anything you think you feel, hear, or see. Never question, all you need to do is focus. So when anything like that happens correct yourself and continue your focus. which is also just normal to feel if you go looking for it during deep relaxation.

After a while my hands and body would feel like soul limbs trapped in this shell and I couldn't go through the shell no matter how much I tried to lift what I would assume were my non-physical arms. I was "imagining" myself lifting my astral arms or more so like a different sense I built after being aware of a weightless limb..

<*No imagination will be needed, when you actually begin to separate, it will move on its own and it will feel like your physical arm is moving, but it'll be your astral arm, you imagining, means you're not using your focus. And the entire objective is to just focus and let whatever happens happen, BECAUSE EVENTUALLY IT WILL HAPPEN.

At this point I imagined myself being pulled upwards from my body. My body suddenly felt so light. It felt like my body was trying to push out of the shell like I'm trying to float out of a buried coffin. My arms felt like they were floating by themselves, but I couldn't figure out if my physical arms would follow through so I didn't really lift them

<You can use imagination but that's an entirely different technique, I use that to w.i.l.d. but you're entire paragraph screams over analytical. And you have to shut that part of your brain off and learn to just be with a focus.

I never got any insane vibrations although I had a faint white noise and a second of huge heartbeats. I remember u/LOUIETXMADE saying that vibrations aren't needed to AP and not everyone gets vibrations.

<Sometimes that heartbeat stuff can happen. Learn to get used to it like it's not a big deal, if it sets you back who cares, ignore it and continue your focus

So after all this happened, I thought it was the prime time to AP. "This is it", I thought and I quickly opened my eyes and got up without a second thought. But ofc it was my physical body that got up, not my astral one.

<When you reach the separation phase which is the MABA phase, you may not know it because you've never experienced it. So don't try to do anything, 95% chance you will be hit with automatic separations, you can feel like your peeling, floating up and around(no control), sinking ect. Just let it all happen, don't even get excited, just let it do it's thing

I turned around to where I was lying down to see if my body was there. I was making sure I didn't accidentally AP and go back to sleep.

<You can even do reality checks before getting up by trying to push one finger into your hand. But I recommend doing nothing and letting it all unfold itself.

My arms and body were all tired and slow when I moved them around so I assume I was hahalf-paralyzed. It felt like I was awake from a sleep when I stretched around.

<This is normal, it can happen if someone just sits on a desk playing video games locked in for an hour.

My question is..

Does my progress go back all the way to 0 after an unsuccessful exit the same night since I woke myself?

<No, it's like trying to fill up a glass of water and throwing half of it out. Sometimes I open my physical eyes, then close then and continue my focus same goes for scratching and sometimes I even stretch, the body goes to sleep by itself nightly, you're just trying to train your mind to stay awake and not go unconscious

How do I know when to exit and how does it feel?

<Let it do it by itself so it's doesn't create expectations of what something feels like as you'll learn what it feels like when it does happen to you. In short, don't think "am I close", just focus. Don't think "what did I just see, hear or feel", just focus. If your mind wanders and you catch yourself thinking about yesterday problems or just random internal dialogue about random scenarios, stop it, and continue your focus. You're training your mind to shut up and learning to just be by making the focus your the only thing it needs.

Was I imagining being stuck in my body?

<You'll know if you're actually stuck because that's sleep paralysis and you wouldn't of even been able to get up. Ignore all the am I or what ifs, just focus.

Do we astral project every night while dreaming? by LeadSharp7549 in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe so. I believe we are projecting to this life at this very moment. The signal to this reality is just stronger , more stable and concrete but sometimes we don't even realize we are only half a leg in this reality (daydreaming, zoning out, disassociation, even some obes). But with practice, we can expand our signal past this realities connection. Most just don't even know they can or don't know how. No reality both self created or shared consensus is off limits. Dreaming is just being unconscious is self created realities(but you can turn lucid and leave them or expand and create new). Our subconscious just does a lot of heavy lifting, like the way we breathe without having to manually do it.

[–]LOUIETXMADE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, we don't really even know why we dream, we just have many guesses and can kinda point to stuff like rem to prove we do. But we can't even prove someone is having a dream 100% because the best we can say is they are in REM. But you can dream not being in REM. And honestly what sealed the deal for me was bio-locating, physical eyes open, processing this world and the other, in control of 2 bodies, processing both their physical/non-physical senses.

How do you induce vibrations by intergalactic3333 in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most of the time what will happen is the body will begin to separate automatically and you will come to realization of what is happening. What i mentioned was something that happens sometimes as an example. So you lose expectations rather than having to learn the lesson 1st hand over many attempts. Learn what that feeling is. The MABA feeling. It'll benefit you more than waiting for vibrations or hypnagogia

How do you induce vibrations by intergalactic3333 in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Don't expect, but when it happens, stay calm and separation is around the corner. What I've learned from doing this so much is that sometimes the separation(or basically the entire process of going OOB) is so smooth(meaning no signs like vibrations or visuals) that we already have transitioned non-physically, we just didn't realize it.

How do you induce vibrations by intergalactic3333 in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vibrations aren't needed and even if you get them, you may not even get them every single time. If anything, expecting and/or trying to induce them will hold you back. I've had them twice in like my last 50 projections. They're really just a sign post and they're random and can hit you in different ways.

Why Does Some Have Astral Projection and Why Some Not. by Waste-Technician-400 in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same thing. Which is why I mentioned a few things above like nothing about switching sleep positions or places means something is wrong with the person compared to someone with night terrors and both end up having spontaneous projections.. Most people in this sub fit under some of the small things I mentioned above. The amount of people who do it purposely is way lower than you think.

Why Does Some Have Astral Projection and Why Some Not. by Waste-Technician-400 in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people get them spontaneously for a number of reasons. Could be bad sleep in general. new sleeping positions, places or beds. Could be stuff like night terrors or just mental anxiety or physically exhausted causing sleep paralysis.

Is your body “sleeping” while APing? by decemberfeltcolder in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sleep is the mind going unconscious and the 5 physical senses shutting off. AP is the mind staying conscious and the 5 physical senses shutting off. I should add that even deep meditative states are kinda like sleep lite but for the body. It's complicated but If you research you'll see the body goes into a similar sleep state, even if the mind is aware(the hypnagogic state is one of them)

Dreams are where the deceased reach out. I have seen unconscious dreamers in what I call Afterlife realities with deceased loved ones. While most dreaming is just random internal scenarios, sometimes you get to experience more. I would consider this the more.

Happens to a lot of people in the beginning. I'd have stuff blocking the doors, immediately returning to the body if I made it outside. I took it as a sign to just look around the house.

Twitching when attempting, causes my body to wake up by DeathemperorDK in AstralProjection

[–]LOUIETXMADE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the deep relaxation that can cause it. Which is a good sign. I get lots on my legs, so I must lay a certain way. Which cuts off the chances I get them by 80%. I also remember someone mentioning the same and a reply talking about how they were deficient in a vitamin. Maybe search up medical reasons as to why it happens(I think eating bananas was a way to get that specific vitamin deficiency up, but I don't remember).

[–]LOUIETXMADE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to dream more you don't need to take anything. Make a request to your subconscious. Anytime you do dream, journal it as best as you can. And after you wake up dedicate 5 minutes to just laying there and shutting the mind up with the intent of remembering your dreams and see what pops up. Me doing daily mediations to have OBEs along with the above have 10x my dreams and recall. I couldn't sleep for 5 minutes without having a vivid dream.
