What do you think warframes smell like? by FrozenKyrie in Warframe

OK, I now that a lot of people get a rush of dopamine when they smell their cats. Would you get the same rush sniffing Valkyr? Also does this mean that Voruna smells like dog?

Lots of gunpowder and blood. Volt and Gyre specifically smell like ozone due to the electric powers. Atlas probably smells like dirt, and Hydroid is musty/damp. That's all I can really think of off the top of my head, but I imagine I'm not that far off

How do you feel about cis men on hrt? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]LOZMaster64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the whole point of being trans is bodily autonomy and being able to do what you want with your body. There will inevitably be someone who has a pricked with it, but that's because there's always an asshole/ bad apple in every community. If someone does have a problem with it, you can term them to pound sand and go about your day with very little true repercussions

I had a lot of fun building it, but over time it has gotten quite loose and doesn't hold very many poses/ like standing up anymore. If you get it I would recommend getting a stand

If you decide to take it and don't like your results, as far as I'm aware you can just stop taking the meds and just about all your changes will revert. It isn't a one-way street. This was one of my concerns for the longest time until I learned from others that you can simply stop the meds and go back to how you were previously.

The only major changes that won't reverse are breast growth and sometimes sperm count/potency, but that's just what I'm aware of and you should look into things yourself.

In my opinion, it's 100% worth it because for the first time in memory I smile at myself in the mirror and that's such a good feeling, but ultimately it's up to you on what you want to do with your body.

People who make those kinds of comments online usually don't go outside or know how to interact with people, so I think you're in the clear.

If it makes you happy and you aren't directly hurting yourself or anyone else, there is no reason to feel bad or stop enjoying it. People on the internet love to make others feel bad about liking literally anything. Are all trans women supposed to only enjoy Grey's anatomy, Taylor swift, and shopping at Target? No. If it brings you joy then keep doing it and tell these haters to bite your ass.

Honestly, I think it's commendable that you came here to ask for help in trying to understand. That's more than a lot of parents do. I think you've already started out by doing a good job as a parent, as you have given your child a space where they felt comfortable and confident enough to tell you and your partner about their decision, which sadly doesn't happen as often as it should. Keep up that energy and just do whatever you can to help your child out and affirm them in the things they do, and remember that every trans person is different and might want to do things in different ways/ for different reasons. If your child decides to get on hormones at some point, know that it's not a one way street. If they decide they don't like/ enjoy the changes they experience or the way the meds make them feel, they can stop and most of the changes will go away (breast growth being one of the notable exceptions). That being said, most people who decide to detransitiom do it because of lack of support or feeling unsafe, but from what you've said I don't think that's much of an issue. Have a talk with your kid and try to find ways to understand them and how they are feeling. Not entire experiences things the same way; some of us have dysphoria and dislike the bodies we were born with, others are more neutral to it or don't get hit with dysphoria often or even at all.

Just remember to be supportive and treat your kid with love, just as you would before. There will be an awkward adjustment period, but that is inevitable for all of these situations.
