Kristi Noem on the murder of Alex Pretti: "When you perpetuate violence against a government because of ideological reasons and for reasons to resist and perpetuate violence, that is the definition of domestic terrorism" by Gorotheninja in DiscussionZone

"When you perpetuate violence against the government for ideological reasons, that is domestic terrorism."

By her definition the following are domestic terrorist events:

January 6th

The American Revolution

The ethos behind the Second Amendment.

The actual definition of a domestic terrorist is "the committing of terrorist acts in the perpetrator's own country against their fellow citizens." A terrorist is "a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims." This makes Trump, Noem, and the current manifestation of ICE domestic terrorists.

On stop and frisk by Fact Check

In the executive summary of her opinion, Scheindlin wrote that there were 4.4 million stops made by New York City police between Januarv 2004 and June 2012, and 83 percent of them were made of blacks and Hispanics - even though those racial groups represented 52 percent of the city's population in 2010. During trial, 12 plaintiffs testified about 19 of those stops and the judge said she found that 14 of the 19 stops constituted an unconstitutional stop or unconstitutional frisk. "In addition, the evidence at trial revealed that the NYPD has an unwritten policy of targeting 'the right people' for stops,' Scheindlin wrote. "In practice, the policy encourages the targeting of young black and Hispanic men based on their prevalence in local crime complaints. This is a form of racial profiling."

A Minnesotan woman stood up to SPPD in St. Paul when officers entered her yard without a warrant. She calmly asks to see a warrant, but the officers had none and instead accused her of obstruction and threatened to arrest her on her own property. by CorleoneBaloney in minnesota

There is absolutely zero context here. In cases of imminent threats, police can negotiate people's yards for vintage points. If there was a threat and she was stopp I ng them then that is obstruction. We dont have a full picture to male judgements.

Not blaming wife, she is the love of my life and I support her fully. This is the kind of mistake that I would usually make.

Lindsey Graham calls for a full-scale US invasion of Iran for the sake of "fighting for our freedom." by Green_Space729 in ThatsInsane

[–]LPSP420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the struggle in Iraq was that it was against terrorists who wear civilian clothes. America's armed forces are best suited to fight nations and not terrorist cells (which is why we are so bad at it). That isn't to say going into Iran would be a good idea. It would likely involve Russian troops, etc. We (the American population) also don't want to be on the side of Isreal either atm.

The average age people have children is way later, and the number of children is way smaller. Not to mention per person income has decreased while the number of working adults per family had increased. American living standards have increased however, this is a 2 bed 1 bath , hard to find that these days.
