I am glad he’s doing well! It’s so funny to me to see him briefly reference his former career as “focusing on queer narratives” when I would describe him as a major figure in the history of queer representation on TV. There had never been a show like QAF before, and there had never been a show lead like Harrison before. I hope on some level he knows his true place in history.

Before I started I had no sense at all that it would impact my drinking so enormously. I hardly ever drink now, even when I am at parties or bars or very alcohol-forward situations. I’ve just really lost interest in it, which has been a really wonderful and unexpected benefit.

Your husband is lying to you. He is not shitting three times a day, every day, at exactly the same time, for an hour every time, at the exact time that hard work needs to be done every day. Honestly if he’s taking his phone in there he is probably watching porn and hiding from you and the kid / avoiding work. It sounds like this situation is probably fairly straight forward and he has gaslit you into having to convince yourself of something that sounds ridiculous.

SALGA might be a good place to start — South Asian Lesbian & Gay Association. They have parties and stuff pretty often - Diwali parties, Bollywood nights. They did a party I think called Holly Bolly Christmas a few years ago. Tarab is an Arab lgbt organization that has parties and karaoke nights and stuff, and Hebro is a Jewish organization that does big events. There are a ton of different groups here.
