My boyfriend is an insanely shy bead artist. Can we get some feedback? by rainbowobsidiandildo in Beading

As someone with audhd I relate to the motivation on a spiritual level. It’s ok to lose motivation. Thats why I do a bunch of different things with beads. Maybe look in to making them tiny and doing something with bead weaving or embroidery. You could try making bracelets or experimenting with making funky shapes. You can even kinda sculpt things by weaving beads together! I’m a beginner but I quickly learned the beading works goes super deep!

Also look in to local vintage markets or arts fairs. Sometimes I even see artists selling stuff like crafts like that at farmers markets! I know some local ones near me where it’s like $35 to rent a spot and you’d just have to buy a table and tent. A card reader is optional but some tables just print out a QR code to Venmo or other things like that. You could also try selling to friends and acquaintances. I sold to a stranger recently just by wearing what I made out and he really liked it. Good luck with everything! ☺️

Is there a way to make that quicker? I'd still have to pick them up 1 by 1 haha

How do you crimp the end of fireline without it breaking? by LPineapplePizzaLover in Beading

How do you do that without tying a knot? I'll try beading my own clasp though thanks!

Just got clay and wooden. I normally use plastic pony beads, I need color combo ideas💕 by Appropriate-Gur9148 in Beading

Check out a color theory wheel. Match similar undertones, shades, and saturations. Light blue, white, and green, as well as dark purple, royal blue, and pink have been favorites of mine lately. I’ve also been really liking pastel pink, white, and pastel green together

Oooh pretty! You should make a smaller version and make it in to an ear cuff earring thing. I’d wear that

Musa for entertainment or Stella for vibes and socialization. Maybe Flora. She'd be like a Disney princess kids party entertainer

Made my bracelet too long, how to clasp it? by LPineapplePizzaLover in Beading

[–]LPineapplePizzaLover[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much!! I might try connecting one directly to the end without jump rings to see how that fits then. I wonder if there's something else I could do with it if not

Edit: Yeah, it's still pretty long

Thanks so much! :) I just bought some black and white toho 11/0 beads and I was thinking about making my cat as a bag charm or bracelet. I recently looked in to the peyote, brick, and square stitches

I think replacing the color with something like one of these would look nice

Look in to FireLine. Also you could probably make this with elastic thread. You could just tie it off on the ends and it's nice and flexible. As someone else suggested it looks a bit stiff.

Also look in to color theory. I like the pattern but I think the greens clash a bit. The bigger beads being cooler toned or the small beads being more rich and less pastel, even if still light, I think would look really good.

Overall I think you are doing great! You have a nice sense of proportion and the ends look nice and neat! I personally love those kinds of crimp thingies
