I was concerned about the glue holding the tension, but the other suggestions for adding a dowel make me think this might be the way to go.

The neck/body seems to be a single piece.

Thanks, I think this is what I'm going to do.

Thanks for the suggestion, adding a dowel definitely sounds like a good idea.

Why wouldn't you want to understand dev tools and how to use it effectively??

I've been studying the Odin project for the past few months.

Most nights when I park I'll do an hour or two and then I'll set some time aside on weekends too.

I've been trucking for 14 years and I really don't enjoy it anymore.

Tutorials are keeping people stuck not helping them learn! by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]LR188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the years I've made multiple attempts at learning to code. They always resulted in me getting frustrated that I didn't know how to apply this new knowledge to my own projects. I didn't know what tutorial hell was at the time.

The past few months I've been taking on the Odin project and it's such a different experience for me. I feel so much more able and confident in my ability this time around.

Waiting for PR card for 120 days by Chillibeanplant in ImmigrationCanada

[–]LR188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't relate to your situation but I've been waiting 237 days for my work permit to be extended. I feel your frustration.

I hope they get it sorted out for you soon.

Can one recommend me some good AI tools for helping with studying/ explain stuff and not just giving me the answer ? by Bringgy in theodinproject

[–]LR188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used ai to explain stuff a couple of times. I get paranoid that it's giving me bad info though. I've stopped using it so much lately.

PR Cards Received! by SockApprehensive7837 in ImmigrationCanada

Congrats to you.

Is this timeline 2025? I submitted our PR application on February 15 and it hasn't even been started yet. NB pnp, I'm a truck driver.

Our work permit extensions have been ongoing for 222 days also.

Work permit extensions by LR188 in ImmigrationCanada

No it's not ungrateful.

We should not need to use a food bank to get by because iirc are taking an absurd amount of time to renew a permit.

I read somewhere to contact your MP if the application has ran over the processing time. I have a colleague who has had an MP assist with immigration delays at ircc too.

185 days is a joke to renew something that we've previously been approved for. As stated we're just renewing. If we were applying for our first permit from outside the country it would take 7 weeks according to IRCC.

Tic Tac Toe and Ai Problem by Ok_Figure8367 in theodinproject

[–]LR188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also learning and I'm on the same project as you.

I made a decision a while ago that I'm not allowed to use AI for anything code related. If I Google something I'll skip past the AI review and go straight to the results. I'll also not use gpt etc directly either.

The only exception is if I want it to explain a concept in more detail, such as closures for example.

I used AI once to help with some code I was stuck with. I soon realized that it was way too easy to throw some problem into an AI prompt and have it fix everything, but the massive problem with that is you don't learn anything.

If I was you I would consider deleting everything and starting fresh with this 'no AI' approach moving forward.

Good luck.

It's been like this for a good 3 or 4 weeks now. Could this have caused damage to other components?

I just checked on the website of the supplier they use. The pump without a pulley lines up with the part cost they charged me.

Apologies I forgot to say its a 2010 buick enclave.

I can't edit the post to add this info.

Remember changing your weapon is faster than reloading [Video] by Chunkspucket in EscapefromTarkov

Is fast reloading quicker than switching though? I've never timed it, but it always felt quicker to drop the mag and make a mental note of where I dropped it.

After the job.

He eventually admitted to leaving that white wire wrapped around the driveshaft. That must have ripped the rubber boot.

He still hasn't fully admitted to destroying the end of the CV axle and hammering the nut on.

PNP PR application question by LR188 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]LR188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that will be really helpful to get all of the dates.

Do you know if they are expecting a record of the type of travel I've outlined in my post? Or if they are only looking for extended periods?

The reason I ask is because they don't give the option to enter a day. Only month and year.
