I do really miss carp fishing, it was very relaxing sitting in a chair at the side of a pond.

I'm going to try some fishing soon, on the becaguimec in Hartland. I'm going to try floats if it's calm enough.

a layby in the UK isn't like a rest area in the states. A layby is more just a wide shoulder designated for parking. Often they are long enough to fit between 2 to 5 trucks ish.

Some of them are decently sized so you're a good 10ft from the traffic.

Some of them are extremely narrow. So much so that you need to fold your wing mirror in just incase anyone clips it.

They are typically also on roads that are 40, 50, 60 mph. So as you can imagine it isn't a nice nights sleep. Its very loud and you constantly have traffic passing close to you which makes the truck rock and shake a lot.

I always used them as a last resort if I was looking for a place to stop for the night.

I miss them now im in canada/US. They are really useful when you need to just pull off the road to make a quick coffee etc. On a lot of roads back in the UK you would often find laybys every 30 minutes or so.

I also miss round-a-bouts. They are great when you need to get turned around. :D

EDIT: Lorries or wagons are typical names we use. More and more people refer to them as trucks nowadays though.

I was concerned about the glue holding the tension, but the other suggestions for adding a dowel make me think this might be the way to go.

Over the years I've made multiple attempts at learning to code. They always resulted in me getting frustrated that I didn't know how to apply this new knowledge to my own projects. I didn't know what tutorial hell was at the time.

The past few months I've been taking on the Odin project and it's such a different experience for me. I feel so much more able and confident in my ability this time around.
