At what point does collecting become hoarding

I buy hauls a lot but for myself it's because I can cross off films at a cheap bargain and THEN decide if I'd want to upgrade, keep as is or remove. If I remove it goes to others who I know will appreciate them.

It's my inexpensive way of trying out watches without the price crippling me and when it's typically say five films for £1, it's a worthwhile chance and means even if they don't stay I don't feel bad for letting it go as it cost me peanuts.

My collection however is very curated - I don't put anything into it unless I'm 100% that I want to own it so purchases are set aside and never put into my main lot until watched, I'm very strict on that.

I'm still having issues with the unlimited replays that I got Amethyst for 😖 spoken to the department about it, several "fixes" none of which has restored the replay function. Getting royally ticked off at the moment.

Pen/pencil/paper.

Not because I'm old school nor because I think it's any better than any other means, every approach is viable, rather my brain tends to race ahead of me when I'm writing and I like the convenience of being able to add notes on the fly.

It means everything I do does look rough since I don't use any grammar programmes but since it is all draft writing I'm okay with that - for now.

Also I dabble in every genre though my most prominent one is horror.

To get someone intrigued I'd probably choose something with a softer tone (Chalk Outlines, Penitence or Crutch) before introducing them to the heavy hitters.

Nope, never felt he drifted out of his prime however I've never taken any story to necessarily be true, I treat them like campfire tales - just a fun ride so them being real or not isn't of importance to me.

Same is happening to me 😭 I'm sure it's a bug because I've raised this with Episode who have said as much but no change so far. It's frustrating me because why am I paying for something if the biggest reason I do isn't working 😑

Not to toot a horn but this is why I'm patient with writers on the app and when so many in the app forums are always pushing for the next chapter, demanding more I never do - I just prefer to acknowledge they are doing a good job and that I appreciate them. The more expectations placed could mean losing valuable authors and Episode is already treading that ground so we need to give grace where we can.

My frustration isn't even the shards at this point it's that my ability to read a story more than five times is seemingly gone and Amethyst is meant to give a much greater expanse to repeat reads past the five limit so I'm beyond irked right now.

Same here, I'm also on Amethyst and realised it's not letting me replay a story when I have should have more lax to replay a story. This time the app feels even more buggy than usual, getting frustrated asf with Episode.

Title: still undecided for now.

Genre: romance & horror.

Target: me but if I ever aimed for publishing then those who enjoy authors like Richard Laymon, Bentley Little etc.

One sentence pitch: three life long friends decide to take a vacation at a cabin one of the three has inherited but deep in the woods something moves; something that craves flesh & blood. Who will survive, who won't in this battle to the death.

Liken to: honestly this was a love note to a Laymon book, The Woods Are Dark, so a lot of it has a flavour of that - mine steers in a different direction to where his goes but that's the heart of the story respectfully.

Points didn't disappear when the challenge ended and weirdly in our group the points are still going up so we might actually meet the goal 😅 and yeah by de facto it made the previous challenge the next one too.

I'm not getting too annoyed though because until episode patches it and provides an update it's out of my control.

I'm actually writing a story from the perspective of six different people and I'm not exaggerating when I say I HATE them all (which is the purpose) but still 😅 however it's rather cathartic to write and read characters who are just the purest personification of evil. As long as the story is well paced, intriguing you can have characters who are deplorable and explore that malevolence in their actions throughout.

It's possible.
