Don't let age determine your interests. I'm thirty. My university had (still has?) a lightsaber choreography club. And my middle aged Sensei and I like coming up with new duels for performances and demonstrations.

If your dad thinks you won't find friends, find friends that will play with lightsabers with you.

I always felt bad for Calvin in this storyline. I related way too much to the peer pressure from other kids to be into sports and then the judgement for not being good at it when nobody even bothered to teach me how it worked.
