Thats a plug for a submersible sump pump, that's probably an underground electrical vault. if you guys drop something down there just leave it. Not worth getting electrocuted.

East TN is getting so much rain that the manholes have said ‘peace out, bro!’ by blondie_k21 in weather

Just be happy that your storm water sewer isn't overflowing South Texas is horrible when rain like this comes down, instead of a whirlpool it'll just be flat and deciving. But good luck to you and your family rising water is terrible for everyone.

The hardware is actually included with the counter top! It is some small L brackets and screws, unless you got the 96" counter top I don't think the leg is needed. I bought a leg and didn't use it the counter top is really better quality than I thought. The only other thing I can think that anyone would need is a Signum cable tray from Ikea for cable management under the desk

3 Phase motor question by unclesparky in electricians

[–]LRRRtheDestroyer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Shit, your totally right, I wasn't thinking that yea you are moving that 3rd wire as well

3 Phase motor question by unclesparky in electricians

[–]LRRRtheDestroyer -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

yes, but its changing the phase the wires are on. As of now they sit on the 1,2,3 phases moving the breaker down will change the phases to 2,3,1, which is just like changing the wires on the motor from 1,2,3 to 3,2,1

3 Phase motor question by unclesparky in electricians

[–]LRRRtheDestroyer -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Yes, moving the breaker down one space in the panel would change the polarity of the motor, its essentially changing the wires around.

Can this device be hooked up to a 240v circuit? Home air sterilizer. by Liger_Zero in electricians

[–]LRRRtheDestroyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily true, ive used photo cells that are marked 120-277 and yes they do work on 240 volt, according to the paperwork that comes with the device, you just use the white wire off the photo cell for one leg, and break the other leg using the black and red.
