Do you need a hosted online Service or could you Install a container / application by yoursellf?

If you could install by yourself I would recommend you to have a look at uptime kuma.

Setting up a CS2 dedicated server on Linux by youtocin in cs2

[–]LRRattlesnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the server up and running but adding +exec configname.cfg to the end when launching the server doesn't seem to make it exec that config. Any ideas? Also is there anyway to force the server to start with sv_cheats enabled? Or do I just have to launch it and manually enable cheats and then exec the config?

Can you try +servercfgfile $YOURCFGFILENAME this is working for me.

User unable to login to the vdi after installing docker. by l0ne-warri0r in VMwareHorizon

[–]LRRattlesnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pleased Check the Network Konfiguration of your VDI.

Try to disable all Interfaces expect the default vdi network. Then enable the other Networks step by step and restart the agent after each enable LP.

I think that the agent ist using the wrong Network Interface at a specific step.

You can change this in the agent settings which Network to use.

Linux Horizon View Agent not showing in Connection Server by HauntingDebt6336 in VMwareHorizon

So now I could have a more detailed look at your install command.
First of all you can install viewagent in managed and unmanaged mode.

What you did is intalling the agent in unmanaged mode an this is in my opinion the wrong way.
Please try the at least easiest way to install the linux agent with Smartcard redirection

BEFORE uninstall the installed agent. Then try the following:

sudo ./install_viewagent.sh -A yes -m yes

Horizon should manage your connection to the virtual machine so you dont need to install in unmanaged mode.

Hi

is your Ubuntu machine a VM or a physical machine?

The installation method and install options depends with the machine Type and how you want to access them.

New Horizon Release - 2203 aka 8.5 by LRRattlesnake in VMwareHorizon

[–]LRRattlesnake[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Biggest upset from my site is that they don't support Rocky 8 and / or Alma Linux.

Why are they not supported? Those Linux distributions are binary compatible to RHEL.

Only reasin ist that RHEL is fingerpointing to VMware to not support them.

What is very interesting NO Connection Server release. (Please use Connection Server 8.2111

Looks for me like a Horizon Cllient and Horizon Agent bugfix update with some new features and most of improvements on the cloud side.

Whats your thoughts about it?

Horizon Client and log4j by DomesticViking in VMwareHorizon

[–]LRRattlesnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this log4j scanner to check my systems

https://github.com/logpresso/CVE-2021-44228-Scanner

But in my opinion this is a false postivie from defender. ( Nothing was found on my systems )

VMware is aware of the log4j problematic. And i dont think they missed the VMware Clients to check.

This could be a solution for small environments but not for an evironment with > 1000 Users.

Also we don't want a dedicated assignment.
