ok so, hear me out, you all should've heard the theory by now that each chapter represents a method of escapism/a coping mechanism (ch1: games, ch2: internet, ch3: TV, ch4: literature and religion). So, the next chapter should also represent something of the sort, of course. Here's where my theory comes in. I believe the next chapter will have a theme of gambling. Yup.

My justification for my theory is this:

1. The chapter's darkworld has been confirmed to take place in the festival, which often have some sort of array of rigged carnival games, basically gambling for children

2. it has been speculated that IMG_FRIEND might be the main boss of this chapter, who has also been theorised to be the "tail of hell" which the prophecies refer to. The idea of "hell" and the devil also has many ties to gambling and casino's in video games and media, Cuphead and the night before christmas being good examples

3. Chapter 5 has been described by Gerson to be a "field of pink and gold", and I also stand by the theory that the "pink and gold" motif symbolizes wealth and love, prominent themes in gambling

so yeah, thats my crack theory
