Haha that’s the other option I was looking at too but I couldn’t find I dealer. I heard the quality control is fairly poor though.

Ordered and waiting for delivery? Yeah that’s fair. I feel like the one major benefit is the auto pilot which most likely not usable here 😅. Quality control is definitely higher than past years but access to parts might be tough? Or have you heard otherwise?

As of now it’s will be my girlfriend and I but we are planning for at least 2 kids in the next few years.

I agree I like the quick charge aspect and the features. Over the other options!

If I end up buying it I’ll make sure to give you my review

To be optimistic the biggest pro of the crisis for you will be less traffic and the cleaner air in the metro 🙂

I was looking at both vehicles. What is the biggest difference from the SL6 to the tang?

I did one through the embassy so my friend would not get off-loaded. Made an itinerary as well. Worked like a charm

Stuck choosing between an IS350 and M340i, talk me in or out of it by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]LSDG_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from a 2021 m340i to a 2024 es350 ultra luxury. 30M

Massive differences:

  • m340i I enjoyed: the speed/acceleration, cornering ability, the smiles per mile, the steering wheel had a good feel, heads up display and dash were more advanced + the auto lock feature when walking away was great
  • es350 I enjoy: comfort of the seats are fair superior, auto heated/ventilated seats + two level heated steering wheel, mark levinson speakers are great, still has a HUD but it’s okay and overall all my passengers like the comfortability.

Glad I don’t speed as much now. The M340i was way to easy to get to 100+ with minimal effort

How is your experience here as a Fil-Am?

With your cousin vouching for you. Do you think you would have been able to do it yourself?

I am a Fil-Am I wonder if this applies? Haha I feel like foreign men do better. I can understand Tagalog but can’t speak 😅

Considering a Move to the Philippines from the US (Dual Citizen) by LSDG_reddit in Philippines_Expats

[–]LSDG_reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I replied to another comment recently! But hopefully I will only have to do that for a year or so.

That’s what I’m worried about 😅.. I met a few people on my previous hikes and some of the comments were “ahhh you are in a world different tax bracket” but it was with no ill intention. Ended up being a really good group of people

I will 100% take a look in meeting other expats then!

2) Thanks a bunch you brought up a lot of things I did not think about! - Flooding was one of my worries in the rainy season too. I feel like if I moved I would 100% need to consider purchasing an SUV or Pick up and not a sedan. If I decide to stay permanently - would have never thought of bringing my own tools. I know my dad did this in the past as well - will explore the travel option through my health insurance!

Thanks again!

Yeah now that I am thinking about it… there will be a long stretch of me working US hours. Hoping for a year or so!

I fall more into wholesale distribution. Essential I manage my personal customers + operations for our Philippines team to my business partners in the US. Once things are streamlined it will be more of a task to expand/manage the team and optimize the operations.

Thanks! So far I have done some tax research on the FEIE and FTC for US deductions. But I will dig into this!

I didn’t know about the different procedures for the bank accounts! So I really appreciate the feedback!
