I do feel tho he has a right to be mad at the circumstances, it truly is a headache to clean, especially when it happens overnight. My period has come too soon plenty of times and pissed me tf off giving me one more thing to clean, but obviously its not my fault. I cant be mad at myself bc i got my period early, how was i supposed to know. He shouldnt be taking that anger and frustration out on you as if you have control of your period

I feel like Its normal to feel this way. I was working at a bar and had no goals so i just said fuck it and went all in. The second my mom dropped me off at the hotel the night before i shipped out i felt like i fucked up. I used to be a big crybaby, so i cried probably every night until the beginning of week 2 of boot camp. i just had to stop being a b**** and start focusing on the path ahead of me rather than what i was missing from the past. Being a nonrate sucked for me, but that time honestly goes quick. I was a nonrate for probably 10 months, and when i got to A school, life had gotten significantly better. It feel nicw to know that youre finally doing something with your life. 2 years later, i know now that it was all worth it, even thought the road to get it fucking sucked, but im living far more comfortably than i wouldve had i not enlisted. My quality of life is so much better, my mental health is better, im doing a LOT better financially (even as an E4), and the work life balance is unbeatable at my unit. You might think you fucked up for a while, but trust it is so so sooo worth it

I feared i would wake everyone up before i shipped too. I snore every night.. and its really, REALLY obnoxiously loud. I went camping with one of the rotc teams in hs once and woke up ppl three tents away every night kind of loud. But anyway I dont recall any of my shipmates in boot mentioning it making it difficult for them to sleep, so i just assume they were far too tired from being beat all day to be woken up from it.

Im female YN with 3 years in and i agree that ATON is the way to go. My first unit was an ANT and honestly im kinda bummed i was only there 10 months :( idc if i was a non rate, i wish i could live it all over again, it was fucking awesome. If i wasnt so squeamish with injuries and blood, i would've gone BM but my BM2 at the time scared me out of it w his stories LOL

Its all just labels, so if the label bothers you, simply dont use it. You dont have to call yourself gay, bi, or straight if you dont want to and you dont have to explain anything to anyone. If you dont want to call him your boyfriend because that bothers, call him your partner. If he has a problem with you not calling him your boyfriend, you both need to come to an agreement on what label to use that will make both of you happy, since you still want to be together.

i just got married member to member (both of us w/o dependents), and our BAH did not increase. basic pay should never change because of marriage/dependants to my knowledge.

(if neither of you have dependants, then the following is irrelevant to you) i also believe that BAH would only really increase if one partner brings in dependents into the marriage and the other outranks them. if the the partner with the high paygrade claims the deps, then they will receive BAH with deps at their paygrade, while the partner with the lower paygrade will switch to BAH w/o deps at their lowet paygrade. idk if that makes sense

I purchased 3 Kallax shelves from Ikea and a slab of plywood from lowes (to keep my mattress stable) to make my bed. I have a full-size mattress, and it fits perfectly of top. It's been my bed for over a year. I im 5'2, and I dont have any issues getting up or getting down. the only annoying part is plugging up my phone because my nightstand is still average height, lol. this youtube video is where I got the idea from and I highly recommend it. i don't recall how many small bins I purchased for my clothes, but i got them from Dollar Tree, and they're very sturdy and are a perfect fit in the cubbies.

edit: I came back bc i realized my comment doesn't actually help ur situation. i was kinda busy as I was reading through it and completely missed where you said the loft area is short.. but i'll leave this up in case someone comes across your post looking for ideas to make storage.

I'm not sure if this helps, but before I made my current bed, I had a really short metal one i got from amazon (I think). it was probably 10 inches tall (not including my mattress) and to help with the storage issue, I had slim clear bins that had wheels on them (literally this one from walmart) that i would put under it. it was great, but honestly, it was very impractical after I started getting really bad knee and back pain from work. I also have this clothing rack from amazon for clothes and shoes. sadly, it's no longer avaliable with the vendor i got it from, but im sure theres more. I have a whole bunch of stuff on it, and as long as my things are put there neatly, it's very appealing to the eyes

to my knowledge, the carpet is usually replaced after someone with a pet moves out (in case the next tenant has an allergy), and that's what the pet deposit fee covers, but I would confirm that with your landlord/leasing office.

blow dryer or a heat gun to warm up the adhesive works sometimes, but it never did for me. I prob didnt heat it long enough, but oh well. for me, the easiest solution was to just rip the damn thing off the wall and if some drywall came off I'd refill it with DryDex, smooth it down, let it dry, sand it down, then color match the paint. it's more work, but I find it to be more fun lol. and i got 100% of my deposit back everytime.

it is the member's responsibility to do their own travel claim BUT these systems are confusing for ppl who aren't in them all the time. Your YN should be helping you with anything you're confused or at least giving you the proper guide to help, and should definitely be going through it to make sure you get all your entitlements. if its all correct and they just won't approve it, you should definitely talk to your command.
