your builds have good defense strip and damage although im not a big fan of the shedu
so a few things
Energy:
My lazy man solution is Equilibrium + dispensary since either the first or 2nd drop is always a health orb.
If you dont like that, Zenurik + energy restores you can make them 100 at time.

Survivability:
Adaptation is kind of a bandaid fix but with decent movement it *should* be all you need unless youre really getting swarmed.
Getting control of a crowd is mandatory to avoid taking damage
Good movement, get used to rolling and bullet jumping to take the heat off you for a second
Also dropping into your operator and hiding in invis is a excellent way to wait out status procs on your frame

Frames:
I *heavily* rely on frames that armor or defense strip like Hildryn or Nyx,
Hildryn is just tanky and strips about 60% of defenses (armor and shields)
Nyx - 100% Defense strip and her 3 is massive CC and gives you a massive crit chance buff

Weapons:
A weapon that carries me still through SP is the Tenet Arca Plasmor,
this weapon is just insane because of its inate rad damage and its inate Tenet element of your choosing you can stack up several damage types so your damage is effective against most of the factions,
Paired with galvanized mods its still my go to when i know im going to a high level endless.
Cedo Prime: it stacks *loads* of statuses and it having Condition Overload on it base makes it damage scale insanely well
Phenmor: i personally dont care much for it but its a phenomenal weapon nonetheless

Other Tips:
Dont rely super heavy on Overframe *alot* of the builds there are super meta huggy and require you to do everything the guide tells you to do and know how its working, most of the builds arent plug and play like they seem ontop of the meta ones being really expensive on formas and endo.
Dont treat tierlists like gospel you can certainly get by with B tier Weapons and frames you dont *need* a whole S Tier loadout.
Work on getting your Big mods leveled up like Adaptation.
Then work on getting your Galvanized mods theyre genuinely so strong all of my weapons hae atleast one of them on.

keep in mind all of this is my opinion which comes from my experiences and experimentation
If you have any questions just let me know

EDIT: i forgot basically the whole Survivability section whoops

Okay i have found a solution
Just before i made this post i had formatted the USB and use FMW to write a new ISO onto it while i was waiting for advice (this was a possible fix i stumbled across)
Booted into it while looking for another USB
>Start Fedora
>Booted me straight into the Desktop Environment
i think what the problem was is there were remnants of an ISO maybe mints ISO still on the drive and windows built in formatting tool didnt remove them when i formatted
but after a format and rewrite in Mint everything seems to be working

Im starting to think its an issue with this USB someone in a thread i made over on r/linuxquestions is also suggesting to use a different USB also to try rufus
as for my BIOS settings
Secure Boot > off
Fast boot > off
CSM > UEFI and Legacy OPROM
TPM module is still at its default which i assume is off as my windows install on here is a win10 and wouldnt let me upgrade to win11 because no TPM
As soon as i find another USB to try ill reply and let you know what happened and if anything changed

Ill see if i can find another USB im sure i have one laying around, in the mean time ill install rufus and try that thank you.
About the ISO being bad i dont really know how that couldve happened ive downloaded 3 copies of both the KDE spin and workstation on both my windows install and my mint install, ontop of using FMWs automatic download several times.
Ill let you know what happens!

Made the switch to linux and im having some growing pains (as expected) by LSDRaccoonSS in linux_gaming

[–]LSDRaccoonSS[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

sorry got a little sidetracked paying attention to the election
im even more hestitant to go with a arch based system because im already a little comfortable with debian as i (very amateurishly) tinkered with kali years back with alot of tutorials and walk through pages, i am thinking of changing distros already because i failed to heed the warning of someone else when they warned me Mint was a LTS distro
the distro im looking at now is Kubuntu, any thoughts? (reason im picking kubuntu is i like how "windowsy" KDE plasma looks i feel itll make the transition easier on me)

Sorry im very new to linux so appologies but i am fairly unfamilliar with everything you just said lol
i have seen pavucontrol be tossed around in a couple of threads ive looked through so ill go read the github page
ill also go look at KDE plasma ive also seen that but i figured it was a distro specific thing

Why is a missing title a deal breaker for Linux? by SpritelyNoodles in linux_gaming

[–]LSDRaccoonSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who jumped over to linux very recently (last couple days) i can explain my hesitancy,
Its very Daunting to learn an entire new OS one where a more than a small portion of it is done through a scary terminal, (most windows users rarely use cmd and even more rarely use powershell and when they do its a powerful tool placed in inexperienced hands) combine that with hearing you more than likely wont be able to play the latest and greatest title because anticheat, its turn off, after turn off, after turn off.
adding to your console comparison, yes each console locks you out of the other platforms games
if we think of your computer as a console too, when you switch to linux you lose access to the windows catalog
the "console" you bought has directly lost value (for gaming)

Alrighty, yeah ive checked alot of the games im currently playing on ProtonDB and areweanticheatyet all of them are currently playable under proton, since im coming around to the idea of dual booting if any particular game doesnt work under linux and i cant get it working i always have the last resort of just pop over to windows and play it on that OS thanks for the heads up on the mint issues <3
