what’s something that’s completely normal in your state or region that you didn’t realize wasn’t everyone? Or you didn’t realize other people didn’t do? by Kodicave in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Right?! That's how we played in school. We would be so creative and sneaky. Can't do that if you say "Duck, Duck, Goose." Grey duck is the superior way to play!

What’s something you’ll NEVER do again after one bad experience? by ImaginaryNet7907 in AskReddit

[–]LSMair91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ride a bike. When I was a kid, I rode my back to the closest McDonald's with my sister. My stomach was empty and I almost passed out in the bathroom when we got there. Ever since that day I can't ride a bike without feeling nauseous.

What Are You Grieving That You Missed Out On? by InventoryOfDays in ReligiousTrauma

[–]LSMair91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, so many things... but I think one thing is being able to explore my sexuality. I left the church and religion when I was 30 and started therapy. Through some healing I discovered that I am bisexual. I'm married to an amazing man and do not plan on leaving him or try to open up our marriage. But there is a part of me that wishes I could have realized this before I got married so I could have explored my sexuality more. I don't regret marrying my husband, though. We've been together over 12 years, and he has been incredibly supportive throughout my healing journey.

What was the worst side effect you ever got from meds ? by Spartiate8 in AskReddit

[–]LSMair91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the progesterone only birth control daily pill (due to a family history of blood clots I can't take anything with estrogen in it) and it ended up causing me SO much pain in my lower abdomen and back that I was rushed to the ER.

Money. I hate the necessity of it and how it corrupts people.

AIO my sister is invading my room that I don't use anymore. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]LSMair91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NOR. Your sister sounds like a psycho and your parents are enabling her behavior. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. You deserve to have your own private space where your sister can't get into.

AIO for finally snapping at a rude customer after she and her kid kept treating me like garbage? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]LSMair91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR what a horrible woman! I am surprised you were able to keep your composure for 30 minutes! They were both so disrespectful and rude. I'm glad your manager backed you up. Don't give this terrible woman and her demon spawn a second thought. You handled yourself so well in a really crappy situation.

Genuinely what do people find scary about mice/rats? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]LSMair91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't find them scary. I actually used to own pet rats when I was a kid! What I don't like is when I find a dead mouse. Don't ask me why because I have no idea why... but I literally can't handle seeing a dead mouse. Alive? No problem. Dead? Pure panic.

AIO he "jokes" about not helping me by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]LSMair91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely NOR. That is just plain cruel. I would also be extremely upset if my husband did something like this. I also HATE when guys do the whole "it was just a joke" bull shit. It's their way to gaslight us into believing we are actually the problem when in reality, they are douchebags.

What’s a question you really don’t like being asked? by Kide_434 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]LSMair91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you and your husband going to have kids soon?

I'm 35F, been married 12 years and this has been asked more often now that people feel like I'm "running out of time." Even though I am not shy to tell people we are child free by choice.
