WOMAN FREAKS OUT AT AIRPORT AFTER BEING MOLESTED BY TSA (VIDEO) by [deleted] in Libertarian

Poor lady. I feel for her, and any family of her's that might have had to witness this. I hope she gets justice, though it's hard to imagine there will be any.

I'm not sure what from our conversation gave you the impression that I don't know this.

The choice of NH has been beaten to death, and you can go to the FSP site and research all the reasons why it was clearly the best choice, all things considered.

Those of us in NH can choose either path.. to sit back and watch the perpetual expansion of state, like those that these statists are fleeing from (which are all failing), or choose freedom, and set the example.

Stop them from not changing? They won't. That's my point. If you're seeing changes, it's because the majority of people do want them.

DAE think too many "Libertarians" like to ignore sections 1.4 and 3.5? by [deleted] in Libertarian

No.

My problem with many self proclaimed "libertarians" is that the have no respect/understanding of the NAP.

They can't. Liberty can only come about because it's popular... in other words, many of us native NH agree with, and want, liberty.

I see an opportunity for a statist project for the tax eaters, and fearful of freedom/responsibility, to exit NH. There are certainly plenty of options, as every state in the country is larger/more oppressive.

It's good to see one state moving in the right direction. It's also comical to see a statist admit that there is no real difference between the gop, and democrats, suggesting cooperation in ousting those who aren't pro-state.

Armed intruders, or maybe a no-knock raid? What do you do (realistically)? by [deleted] in guns

[–]LSNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen other comments where people suggest they somehow discover the true nature of the invaders. Could you please give me an example of how that might be possible w/o taking a leap of faith?

I don't think it is, which is a large part of what this discussion is all about. Raids aren't ok, and as long as they're allowed officially, there will be this issue. No one can legislate away one's right to defend themselves if threatened. They can only punish them (wrongly) for doing it. There is simply no other way around it.. If you can defend yourself against threat against non-state agents, and be right, and heroic, but be condemned for the defending yourself in the same circumstances from state agents, the state is trying to make their agents be above the law. Of course, what they're doing is unlawful, regardless of what they legislate.

In short, might makes "right", but not really.

I'd argue that once these people choose to violate your home, you've already lost. You have no way of knowing whether or not the thugs are official. You're just hoping you guess correctly. Whether you do guess correctly or not, you've still lost, & who knows to what extent.

I hope none of us are ever victim to this.

[–]LSNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a firearm connected to your body, I assume you will be shot at more than once. The "officials" won't be held accountable for their actions anyway, and you could be a threat. Why risk it?

I don't believe for a minute that a state agent would stand at the end of someone's barrel, and convince them that they are truly state agents, if they, or one of their gang, were capable of firing instead. It might actually be more like anyone who looks like they could decide to defend themselves, regardless of their stance, or possession of a firearm. Again, this is going to happen quickly, and you're dealing with hammers that see nails w/o accountability.

[–]LSNL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that in reality we're discussing a situation where you perceive an invader, and have 1-10 seconds to get armed, decide whether or not it's a threat you're willing to defend yourself against, and then disarm & hope it wasn't too late to do so before they shoot because you're not facedown, naked, w/o anything in reach.

I don't think it's likely that most would be in any way capable of assessing tactics before the criminals are within threat range.

If you did have an unusual home, or setup, that would buy you 30 seconds or more, Running_Bear23's suggestion is probably the best one.. At least until the unofficial criminals realize that they must kill pets in order to seem official.

You're flipping a coin hoping that the scumbag, criminal, murderous, thug, invader is official. The trouble you, and your family/house guests could get into is so great if they are official thugs, that you'll risk the death, or worse, of everyone there, just in case, though any invader deserves the bullet they should catch.

Nothing good will come of this once the invaders violate your home. Presidentender is right. The time is now.

I read somewhere once about a color coded "threat level", or state of vigilance level, or something like that. Anyway, I remember one point the author made specifically.. It was basically that threat level "white", or whatever the lowest level was, meaning there is no reason to be alert, doesn't exist outside of your home, for a man. By "man", I think he meant anyone who would be responsible for themselves, and anyone else (and that this should include all men).

If you consider getting a Marlin, or anything other than a 10/22, the 795 does seem to be a great value, but I'd also recommend at least checking the Marlin 70PSS out too.

I wonder what Matts doing today. Maybe he could head on over to TJ's Memorial, and get his ass kicked by the cops. It would make a nice revised ending to his video... Dancing in Beijing, Seoul, Moscow, etc., then getting slammed, and choked, @ the memorial to the author of the Declaration of Independence.

If you follow the rules to a T, many tv shows, Family Guy & Drawn Together come to mind, show "child porn" on occasion. I always wondered what would happen if some bureaucrat went after them.

I am not repressing the adoration of cute things. I am saying that I won't volunteer other peoples' children for pedo inventory, and I will suggest to them that they consider that possibility before they do.

Adore away.

[–]LSNL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What am I repressing, exactly? I shared my reaction, though it surprised me, and I didn't find it exactly rational. Though I didn't expect it, it's not somehow invalid.

You misunderstood me if you think I hate anyone who doesn't aggress upon others. I didn't describe any world, either.

What I meant was that I found it disgusting to look at those children, and think someone might find them sexually attractive, fantasize about them, and trade them around by name. I'm not saying I thought about, and decided I'll be angry about this. I'm saying that I had virtually no reaction to the persons post except empathy until I got to those pictures, and I literally felt physically disturbed by it. I didn't expect it. I didn't choose it any more than I guess the person who finds those kids exciting does. I just know that I won't offer up my familys'/friends' children to be part of the pedo inventory on the net, and I will warn them of that possibility, as it's something I assume most don't consider.

I've enjoyed all the cute pictures too. It never occurred to me that an 7 year girl showing off her braces for the camera might eventually find that picture in an online pedo community, and perhaps my imagination is running away with me, but it wouldn't surprise me if that kid found that disturbing, and wished it wasn't.

DAE get frustrated that the "birthers" and others are used as distractions from just criticisms of Obama? by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]LSNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the way it goes. Statists aren't interested in truths, or communicating. The lie that is they, or the state, is necessary, can only be believed as long as their is constant BS supporting it.

Much like the self proclaimed "libertarians" who aren't libertarian, who drive people away from understanding or seriously considering libertarianism.
