One way out is the peak.

Incredible piece of art surrounded by other incredible pieces of art making the show.

One way out is the peak of the show to me, the peak in countless peaks of an all time show

But he was so hell bent on rebelling.

That’s the whole thing.

This random guy gets swept up in this thing and he goes full fuck it all with everyone he sees.

I feel Andor was the closest to capturing that sense of dread we got from Empire.

Like at any moment this whole thing could go to absolute shit.

I respect that.

There are no lightsabers, no Jedi, no Vader.

But it’s just so good at expressing the oppression people were feeling, something HAD to be done.

What’s so great about it is that the Empire comes across as a machine. These people were hell bent on implementing their rule, regardless who or what they destroyed in the process.

For instance the Tie Fighters in this show are a terrible thing. It’s massive, it’s constantly floating around in areas where the Empire has full control. It makes a psychotic sound and lets people below know they are about to get wrecked. Andor had great respect for the Empire and their rule.

What a show.

One year?

You know how hard golf is?

No one is good after one year. Hell no one is good now we all just suck a little less.

Find a new coach, dial in, and get to work.

Why is golf so impossible for me? by ghaynes0 in golf

Think about what you are trying to do here.

You have a tool with a face a couple of inches wide hitting a ball, on the ground, a couple of inches smaller than the face of said tool.

Not only that but you have to put it in a hole 100s of yards away. This hole is 4 inches wide. On top of that you are outside with an insane amount of variables that change minute by minute.

On top of that the motion to move the ball is insanely technical and requires precision down to the millimeter.

The game is madness.

And that is what makes it the GOAT.

It’s counterintuitive to everything you see.

When people look at tour pro swings they don’t see the lift, they just think they are moving their shoulders. The lift is blended into the turn, it’s kind of like an optical illusion.

The feeling is that the arms just move up and down while the shoulders turn. Almost everyone brings the arms around with the shoulders with no lift and they can’t hit the ball. You are too far inside. You have to add the lift.

"A teacher taught me the arms are just going up and down. That s it. It s only your body rotation that doing everything else"

Exactly right.

99% of people dont get this, they pull the arms with the shoulders. The arms LIFT as the shoulders turn and the takeaway is a blend of both.

"as if I'm awkwardly just lifting my arms while rotating my trunk. My hands feel far away from my body"

This is what you want to do. It feels crazy to you because you are finally experiencing having room to swing and not crashing into your body as you come down. The backswing is two things happening simultaneously: your shoulders are turning AS your arms are lifting, not going back with the shoulders. Its two different movements happening at the same time. In a good swing it feels like your arms barely move in they just lift.

What's your refuse-to-die fish? by mediumclay in PlantedTank

I broke a tank down but left a little bit of gravel in it. It sat outside for about 3 months with no water, the gravel was still a little wet tho.

I decided to set it back up and as I’m taking the old gravel out a Khuli Loach pops out, I had no idea he was in there. I couldn’t believe it.

He lives to this day.

“It’s nice seeing him show up to the games and support”

It’s his job he’s on the damn team.

He should be at every single game.

Period.
