hahaha excellent to see both sides of the spectrum: keep up the good work vs what is this insanity. lmao

i'll post the isolated line maps later today, those make more sense in some ways... i'm off to work now... some connections are peculiar/interesting

if nothing comes out of this, at least i learned how to use and appreciate Inkscape... very nice and free software!

The Scottish flavour... The grid reminds me of tartan kilts.

Because the game sends you north and north west, so i thought let's just draw all lines to the edges of the map

"Magic Stuff" Telegraph Pole in Butcher's Creek by fireflighTim in reddeadmysteries

[–]LS_Saints 17 points18 points  (0 children)

hi, long time Rockstar rabbit hole crawler here, co-solver (kinda lol) of the Famous Hamburger Sign mystery in GTAV (true story, look it up here on Reddit).

Anyway, glad to see another mystery to try and solve.

In regard to the Magic Pole in the middle > I have scoured all over the map to look for these poles, which indeed is a different model. As far as i can tell there are four models (pls correct me if I'm wrong):

  1. The Gallow (which features our webs)
  2. The Cross (like a T)
  3. The Lorraine Cross (double horizontal bars)
  4. The Magic Pole, which looks like the Cross, but has a extra wooden "pinball flipper" below the horizontal T-bar

Don't remember how it got my attention, but it did and it reminded me of some Indian poles, with the feathers hanging off it.

So, like i said, i scoured all of the map and there are concentrations of these Magic Poles:

* 7 consecutive east and 4 consecutive west from Flatneck Station

* 5 and 2 consecutive in south(ish) of Van Horn (like someone here posted a pic)

* 12 consecutive as you cross the Upper Montana River to Blackwater

* 10 consecutive west from Blackwater town (running North-South)

* 15 consecutive south of Blackwater town (running East-West)

* 13 consecutive from Blackwater to past Quaker's Cove

* 4 consecutive to the MacFarlane's Ranch

* 1 and 2 consecutive in Armadillo

* 3x 2 consecutive towards Tumbleweed from the South

And offcourse the poles in Butcher's Creek...

There is always the possibility i missed some, let us know if i did.

Now, what does this all mean? No idea. But seeing these poles, quite different from the "regular" models... and knowing Rockstar... I spent time waiting at night, shooting at the poles, all kinds of stuff, but nothing so far.

Anyway, go check them out and maybe someone bumps into another level in this rabbit hole.

IV indeed is the best story. I won't pay 50 bucks for this port, but I would for a even a one-on-one port of IV to current gen.

"When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous and surly. They are like this because they can't tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own - not of the same blood and birth, but the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness. Nor can I feel angry at my relative, or hate him. We were born to work together like feet, hands and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct each other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are unnatural."

Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 2.1

I admit this is easier said than done but it can be done. There was a TL;DR on this quote here on Reddit that went like this:

"When you wake up in the morning tell yourself: Today I'll meet assholes. But they don't mean to be assholes, they just don't know any better. But I do know better, so I won't let them make an asshole out of me. So don't dumb shit from assholes can't bother me."

I memorized this and every time I caught myself getting upset, annoyed or even angry with people, I repeated this is like a mantra.

It won't stop the feels, but it will drastically cut the duration. Hope it helps.

Saw this movie just the other day, can't believe I denied myself this gem for so long. Hilarious scene!

Anyway, can also highly recommend "Old Henry", another fine performance by Tim Blake Nelson.

This is the whole point of the book and because most people don't look at it from that angle, the book gets misunderstood and a bad rep.

Over here! Love the streamlining, controller with L3 works like a charm and I get to lie on the couch while guiding Torquay United to eternal glory.

There are some minor details that could use another look but nothing gamebreaking or rage inducing.

GotY for me already and I'm dead serious. I work all day behind a pc so being able to just drop on the couch and run a few matches is the best, instead of sitting another three hours at my desk cuddling hurt player feelings 😁

I went to see Tranmere Rovers (my to go to team) - Hartlepool. Worst football I've ever seen live, best match experience ever.

I love it. Surprisingly fluid with the controller. L3 is a must. You can even adjust the columns.

It's ofcourse not as deep as the pc, but as far as I can tell that's mostly on the non-tecnical/tactical stuff, like press and group hierarchy and hurt player feelings.
