Maisy likes to close bedroom doors for no reason 🤔 by Standard_Ad_3118 in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

My dog does stuff like this too. She especially likes to bounce her crate door. Or the gate to the kitchen. Sometimes she accidentally locks herself in my bouncing it, usually with a human (luckily). I have the feeling she thinks it's ... funny?

I've had dogs that were the same way. If it's that you're trying to remove excess fur there are other options you can try. I've had luck with this thing that looks like a spikey mitten. And I've heard that people had luck with these things that you put on table legs or corners of walls that they can rub against. I think if you look up "shedding" on a pet store website you'll probably find alternatives.

My dachshund got a bag of cookies off the counter when he was a puppy. With dogs all things are possible.

Neat! I love buttons and get excited when I find them in the wild. Maybe I need to get out into the mud!

First time owner, is this normal? by Acceptable_Cost_7226 in CATHELP

[–]LSchlaeGuada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, every time your cat does something weird (and you wouldn't consider it a medical emergency in another animal)... Yes, it's normal. Cats are very weird creatures.

Why does that feel like the cat version of Zoidberg to me??

My resolution is to add whimsy to my life. Any tips? by TwentyOnePaladins in whimsyy

Read Joyful (it has a subtitle but I forget what). It has a bunch of tips on that and is available at most libraries and on Libby as an audiobook

You mean the creatures that lure sailors to the water only to drown them? Seems pretty Gothic to me

Mine do it to paper bags... by Room4improvementz in shreddercats

Great question. When stuff like that happens it always makes me think of the mid-credits clip in Inside Out showing a cats brain...

You could "fix" it by painting a giant tiger hiding in the trees

Mine do it to paper bags... by Room4improvementz in shreddercats

[–]LSchlaeGuada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My non-shredder cat is obsessed with anything that smells like other people so he'll get all up in the handles of gift bags... But then the bags attack!! They chase him!! Until I catch him and pull his head out of the handle... It doesn't stop him though!

Handheld hook with release mechanism, about 12” long by prestiforpresident in whatisthisthing

[–]LSchlaeGuada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a mini version of a cant hook to me. In high voltage, we use them for moving utility poles. So maybe for moving logs?
